Truth be told, Aurum didn't really have that much of an issue with Siborno's rather slow, broken English. Perhaps some would've expected him to be annoyed by it, considering the fact that he read so much and had such a strong grip on the language, even with his own faint accent slipping into his words. However, it wasn't as if he hadn't spoken to others who didn't really communicate back in his own common tongue. Draekon had never been able to speak long, mainly because of his neck injuries and the fact that he was somewhat feral. Ament hadn't been able to communicate in English either, instead speaking the language of the raptors. That language had been immensely helpful, however, as it had provided Aurum with his new name, making him able to move on from the lowly title of worm that his mother had stuck him with. Needless to say, Aurum didn't have any issue with foreign languages, nor those who spoke them. However, it did lead to a bit of a barrier between him and Siborno, as while Aurum would've been happy to instead use Sib's native tongue, he didn't know even the slightest bit of Russian. So, instead, he decided to go slow, and not use too many big and confusing words that would perplex anyone who didn't know English like the back of their paw.
Shifting his large paws in front of him, the lion nodded his head before he spoke, his own voice a deep grumble, faintly touched with an English accent – although it had grown less noticeable over time, "It's good to hear that you're doing well... it's natural to feel out of place though. For a little while, at least. You're still getting used to this place, and the people in it... just give yourself some time." The amber colored lion then glanced over his shoulder, one of his large wings resting casually against the ground as he continued, "As for me... I'm doing alright. Just like you, I've got some adjusting to do. Thankfully though, I already know some of the people here from when I've attended events. Plus I've fought alongside quite a few of them. I can even try introducing you at some point, if you'd like. It might be easier." He looked back to Siborno, offering the large male a lopsided grin, before he smiled and chuckled at the comment about Sib's "first tongue." Shaking his head from side to side, the angel spoke simply, and casually, "Don't worry about it... I've interacted with others who haven't even known a lick of English before, so it's really not a big deal. Besides, just like with here, you'll get better over time. Pick up on more... I'd just speak Russian with you if I could, but I'm afraid I've never studied even the basics of it." The lion's ears pinned down to his head after a moment, as if he was embarrassed that he hadn't studied up to talk with someone like Siborno.
