Lumia could say with confidence that she was finally starting to feel at home within The Typhoon. Initially she had been a little unsure of things, not knowing if she could really settle down in one place. She had never done it before in her life, after all. Thankfully, her doubts and worries had been alleviated by those she had met within the group of pirates. Her niece, Danny, Marianas, Keona, Roxie... they had all been kind to her, and had welcomed her in with open arms. The mere thought of how comfortable she was brought a smile to her face, especially considering how hard she had fought to reach it all. Hell, she was still fighting. Only recently she had been forced to take on Aphra, her sister. It had been an unpleasant encounter, and yet... she had still come out on top. Her self confidence was soaring, and she wanted to find some way to give back, to the group that had already given her so much.
The girl had been contemplating how to go about giving back when she heard voices from nearby, causing her green gaze to rise. She saw a large group of other Typhooners emerging from the Deep Sea Dome, carrying or pulling along with them a wide variety of materials. The young feline could hear them muttering about a cave system, and she immediately found herself intrigued. Somewhat forgetting about her former goal, Lumia got up to her paws and followed the small group, all the way to where they stopped, near the tavern. Curiosity getting the best of her, she wandered over to one of the NPCs, questioning, "Hello there, mister... what do you guys have all those materials for?" The large male – a dark-furred bear – looked down at her, head tilting to one side before he answered, "Blacksmithing, kid. What do you think we make all the jewelry and weapons out of?" He then gestured in the direction of the others, who had already begun transferring materials and heating them up.
With a nod of thanks in the bear's direction, she quickly rushed over to the others, watching with delight as they burned down and smelted various materials. Once they were ready, they began making various things right before her eyes – jewelry, armor, weapons... it was all incredible, and all being made, slowly, right in front of her. The girl's small tail twitched excitedly behind her, and she only stepped back from her blacksmith-watching when the sun had begun to set in the distance. She had a giddy grin on her face as she turned and headed back towards the beach, sitting down and pressing her paws against her cheeks. After a moment, she found herself proclaiming proudly, "I think... I think I wanna be a blacksmith!" Of course, simply saying so was much easier than actually building up the skill. However, Mia had the determination.
She knew that she did.
