TO LOVE A LITTLE MORE ☆ new interest - LUMIA CIPHER. - 03-31-2021

Lumia could say with confidence that she was finally starting to feel at home within The Typhoon. Initially she had been a little unsure of things, not knowing if she could really settle down in one place. She had never done it before in her life, after all. Thankfully, her doubts and worries had been alleviated by those she had met within the group of pirates. Her niece, Danny, Marianas, Keona, Roxie... they had all been kind to her, and had welcomed her in with open arms. The mere thought of how comfortable she was brought a smile to her face, especially considering how hard she had fought to reach it all. Hell, she was still fighting. Only recently she had been forced to take on Aphra, her sister. It had been an unpleasant encounter, and yet... she had still come out on top. Her self confidence was soaring, and she wanted to find some way to give back, to the group that had already given her so much.

The girl had been contemplating how to go about giving back when she heard voices from nearby, causing her green gaze to rise. She saw a large group of other Typhooners emerging from the Deep Sea Dome, carrying or pulling along with them a wide variety of materials. The young feline could hear them muttering about a cave system, and she immediately found herself intrigued. Somewhat forgetting about her former goal, Lumia got up to her paws and followed the small group, all the way to where they stopped, near the tavern. Curiosity getting the best of her, she wandered over to one of the NPCs, questioning, "Hello there, mister... what do you guys have all those materials for?" The large male – a dark-furred bear – looked down at her, head tilting to one side before he answered, "Blacksmithing, kid. What do you think we make all the jewelry and weapons out of?" He then gestured in the direction of the others, who had already begun transferring materials and heating them up.

With a nod of thanks in the bear's direction, she quickly rushed over to the others, watching with delight as they burned down and smelted various materials. Once they were ready, they began making various things right before her eyes – jewelry, armor, weapons... it was all incredible, and all being made, slowly, right in front of her. The girl's small tail twitched excitedly behind her, and she only stepped back from her blacksmith-watching when the sun had begun to set in the distance. She had a giddy grin on her face as she turned and headed back towards the beach, sitting down and pressing her paws against her cheeks. After a moment, she found herself proclaiming proudly, "I think... I think I wanna be a blacksmith!" Of course, simply saying so was much easier than actually building up the skill. However, Mia had the determination.

She knew that she did.

Blacksmithing, what an interesting thing to be fascinated by. It really was sort of cool, he'd admit, and Danny had even watched as his own earring was made by "the boys", as Michael jokingly called them. He liked to watch, from a distance anyway, but didn't think he'd ever find the time or courage to take a stab at it. He'd had enough of being close to fire, almost falling ass first into the volcano sort of put a halt on any future fire related activities, not to mention something about the flames made him feel awfully uncomfortable, as if he was terrified of being burned. Besides, even without his fears the wolf had far more interest currently in working himself out and up to be a good source of defense. Y'know, getting strong and all that. Not that blacksmithing didn't work the muscles, it sure did, but it wasn't the best way to send any threats running for the hills.

"Maybe you can make me something cool." Danny suggested with a supportive wag of his tail, stumbling upon Lumia announcing her new interest to no one in particular, the sun starting to go down over the horizon. Around the time he returned from god knows whatever it was he did during the day.

Blacksmithing definitely wasn't Vayne's thing. The heat was something she didn't particularly like and being around fire definitely wouldn't be good for her. Not to mention with her long fur, it might get everywhere and she could accidentally set her fur on fire - she didn't want to deal with that, for sure. "You'll do great!" The girl chirped. She truly believed her words, but she also wanted to encourage Lumia like others had done for her.[glow=COLOR,1,400]✧*:・゚[/glow]

Much like Danny, Lumia also had an interest in making herself stronger, but... she wanted another way to help others, as well. After all, unless she found out she could shapeshift, she would never be quite as strong as creatures that were about ten times her size. When it came to fights like that, it would be useful for her to help others, who could get right in the thick of things. So, as her green gaze darted over to Danny, she found herself grinning lopsidedly at the canine. Her short tail twitched back and forth behind her as she responded, seeming bouncy as ever, "Yeah, I think I could! Maybe I could make you some kind of armor, to make sure you don't get hurt while fighting. Or maybe even a weapon. Obviously I'll have to learn quite a bit first, though..." She then glanced back in the direction of the actual blacksmiths, mind wandering. Maybe she could ask one of them to mentor her?

Her attention was once again pulled away when Vayne approached, though. The words of encouragement from her niece filled Mia's chest with warmth, and she found herself nodding. She responded in a purr, her head full of possibilities, "Thanks, Vayne! Maybe I could make some things for you, too. Like jewelry that represents your family..." Something for the Rouxes, Folie-Mikaelsons, and Ciphers. Something that would represent the best parts of each family. Maybe some kind of charm bracelet? She knew that she was getting ahead of herself, but the whole conversation was only making her more eager to learn.

Honestly, the idea of having something to represent her family was a great idea. Vayne was, obviously, very family-oriented and was proud of the fact she got adopted by Roxanne and Diya. "I would love that!" She chirped. "Maybe like. A bracelet or a ring or something."[glow=COLOR,1,400]✧*:・゚[/glow]
