It thankfully hadn't been too hard to find out what the hell the layout of The Pitt's territory was, exactly. He had already had a sort of head start thanks to the fact that Leroy had already inside the guts of the jungle territory in order to help break out Sam and Beck when they were held prisoner there. Now, Wormwood hoped to do the same thing, crossing slowly and stealthily over the border that was carefully scented into the ground between the desert and the jungle within, his breath held tight within his lungs as he continued forward, towards where he knew his son was being held. Ever since Roy had been taken away, the fallen guardian angel had been a complete mess, desperately trying to keep himself occupied and failing over and over again in his goal of not staying focused on the fact that Roy wasn't there, beside him. Hell, V had even taken notice and asked him over for tea just so that the two of them could try and relax from their respective problems. It had been a nice momentary distraction, ans he cared greatly about V and her company, but even then he hadn't been able to take his mind off of Roy, and what possibly could've been happening to him while he was stuck within the Pitt, no doubt suffering. It hadn't even come to mind once that Roy might've been brainwashed by the Pitt considering his past history of forgetting things and getting fuzzy minded after traumatic events. Perhaps if Worm had been less worried he might've thought harder about it and been more worried about Roy forgetting him, but in all honesty he was just incredibly focused on the task ahead of him as he cut through the trees, having washed the scent of Tanglewood from his pelt, making sure that he couldn't easily be detected.
His wings tucked in close to his sides as he padded along, Worm found himself thinking back to the recent conversation he had with Leroy over what the territory of the Pitt had been like. Thankfully Leroy had simply thought that Worm was preparing himself for the coming battle against their rival group, rather than doing something as crazy as going after Roy on his own. After all, Beck had ended up taken because he had gone after Sam, so why would Wormwood think it would be different for him? Well, he thought it would be different because, unlike Beck, he wasn't just strolling straight into the camp yelling and making a fuss. Instead, the male was slowly making his way through the territory, a soft frown on his muzzle as he moved past a few of the Pittians that were too busy with their own tasks to bother with an unfamiliar face, eventually moving off to the side and into the shadows, where most of the slaves were kept away, doing work and going about their usual business. Worm's eyes slowly scanned over the small group for a long moment, the fur along his neck standing up and a grimace on his face just at the thought of a group keeping slaves at all. It was deplorable, and he was very glad they were finally going to fuck them up, and soon. He sighed and shook his head to clear it of off topic thoughts, his paws carrying him along and through the group quickly. Most of the slaves gave him no trouble, just averting their eyes and scooting away from the large intruder before they could get in trouble. He wanted to save more of them, but... that would have to wait for the raid. Right now the only person he could help was Roy, or so he thought.
Luckily for Wormwood, his son was out and about, seeming to be doing some kind of task for whoever had brought him here. He could see the sort of glazed over and dazed look to Roy's eyes, making him look tired and listless, but the guardsman simply figured that was because of being stuck in the Pitt. The male granted around for a moment, making sure that there was nobody else around or looking, before he urgently moved up to Roy, keeping his voice low as he rumbled urgently to the smaller tiger, his ears pinned down to his head as he spoke, "Roy! Roy, oh my god, I'm so glad that you're okay... and that it was so easy to find you. Come on, while nobody is looking, let's get the hell out of here and back to Tanglewood... I should be able to get you out fairly inconspicuously, and even if somebody sees us I'll just hold them off while you run, okay?" He didn't think for a moment that Roy would refuse his help or wouldn't remember him, just trying to get them out of the vicious desert dwelling group as quickly as possible. It wouldn't be that hard to do so, as long as they didn't run into Jervis, since Jervis was the only one that had ever really seen Wormwood up close. Bai Shi had too, technically, but only when the male was in his hellhound form, and he hadn't really been able to see him clearly since Worm had been attacking him.
