Pincher wondered at first where the child came from. He seemed quite young to be all by himself but at the ripe age where one tended to wander from their homes in search of adventure. Yet, he was glad that the child had at least arrived in the tropical island that he overlooked. Despite the Typhoon being considered a place of wretched criminals, they were all a family or at least tried their best in behaving like one. The idea of the crew was being able to stick with one another despite how much conflict could be created if two members did not get along. Besides, being able to take in a child and allow it to grow was better than chasing him off and increasing the likelihood of Arlo getting captured by other groups that weren't as open as the Typhoon.
His velvety ink black ears twitched as he listened to the soft wildcat introduce himself to everyone with an energy that Pincher found rather refreshing. It reminded him much of his own daughter as he allowed his sapphire blue eyes to flicker towards her at the thought, a twitch of a smile flickering before fading away to his usual serious expression that was settled onto his facial features. "Hmm...Arlo. Fortified hill." He would state, his nonexistent brows furrowing as he tried remembering the meanings behind the name. He was able to recollect a lot of names because when he had been a father to his firstborn sons, he had searched for the perfect names to give them in some book filled with all kinds of names. One of the names had been Arlo since Pincher had always enjoyed the name and the way it sounded. It was secure yet held a warmth that one could only find in the sun. The canine gave a slight dip of the head towards the child as he decided to introduce himself. "Name's Pincher Roux but you can just call me Pincher or Pinch." He glanced briefly towards Caesar as he spoke his title as well as his name, amused by how the savannah behaved but decided to turn back to Arlo with his curiosity taking over.
"Well Arlo, you're quite young. Where'd you come from?" He inquired as he rose from his sitting position, his tall form now towering as his piercing icy blue optics locked onto the warm chocolate brown ones of the child. He wondered if Arlo had arrived with a desire to run away from someone or something, Pincher was familiar with that. He had always tried to run away from his father but despite the many attempts, had never succeeded in doing so.
