The camp was certainly vile looking, blood and guts and bone decorating the place in the worst possible way, at least the dead had been buried during the mudslide. And while Angel despised the sickening remains, he had a gut feeling that most were either too exhausted, too bonkers, or too dead to assist. He understood those who were gradually going nuts, but he couldn’t follow them down. No, he wouldn’t allow himself to slip, and besides, they would need all the conscious and sane help that could be provided. One of which had apparently just woken up after a rather terrible demise. Aphra might have been a bitch, but she wasn’t going crazy to his knowledge and no one really deserved to be pulled apart.

The sound of an opening door got his attention, pulling what was once inside someone off one of the house walls, grimacing and quickly tossing it to the side, where he was building a little pile of mismatched organs and remains of the unidentified. They could bury the bodies, the pieces were going to have to be discarded. ”How are you feeling, Mama?” Angel asked, looking over his shoulder to catch a glimpse of the oriental longhair. He hadn’t been expecting total annihilation of the woman, she switched bodies too often to leave the impression of complete fatality.
