When Inferno had initially offered to help him find some flowers, Arvid had been... wary, really. Mainyl because he knew the other was one of Aphra's children, and Aphra's children were kind of like a roulette wheel. Some of them were perfectly fine and normal, and some of them were fucking crazy. He was leaning more towards the crazy side when it came to Inferno, especially considering how she had reacted when he had brought Vayne in, but he still wasn't fully decided. Besides, he didn't mind the extra paws when it came to gathering things – not just tiger flowers, but herbs and poison-making plants as well. So, he had allowed Inferno to accompany him, the pair of them scouring the various islands of the Coalition for anything and everything that could be useful. It turned out to be a fairly uneventful trip, which Arvid didn't really mind. The canine enjoyed the rare moments of piece within the Coalition, especially considering how many groups currently considered them to be a massive target. He could certainly benefit from a peaceful walk through the wilds.
Eventually, though, all things had to come to an end. This particular trip had to end when both his bag and the bag he had given to Inferno were completely full, with no room for anything else to stuff inside. Once that time had come, he had led Inferno back towards his home, muttering as he padded up onto the porch, "You wait out here while I stash these away somewhere. We can probably go to the pub and get something to eat... that much walking made me hungry." He then took both of the bags in his jaws, heading inside to put them in his room for later sorting. Of course, out on his porch where Inferno had been instructed to wait, there was a small basket of muffins. Arvid had prepared them for his next outing to the other groups to see if he could grab anyone else, figuring he'd wait a little while longer before he did so. While he didn't doubt the strength of the Coalition, he also didn't want all of the groups targeting them at the moment. Still, the poisoned muffins still sat out there, ready for when he took his next venture out of the territory.
He never would've expected Inferno to eat one of them, figuring that anyone near his home would ponder the safety of any food nearby.
