Reading was something that Ruven had been slowly learning to do on his own time. He was still young of course and didn't really need books considering he was more interested in fighting at this point in time, but he figured that it would be a fun thing to do if he wanted to learn something quickly that someone else couldn't teach him. Like food recipes that weren't sandwiches or just kill that was added to the pile near the camp. When he saw the group of gathering animals around Lethe, the young lion made his way over, ears pricked as he listened to the conversations happening, listened as the various members named their favorite flowers - two of which he stuck in his mind to try and remember to the best of his ability - and watched as Aphra offered to show Lethe the flower that she shouldn't eat.

Making his way beside the slimy dragon - he didn't mind the slime, he could just wash off later - Ruven would offer a smile to her before looking at the book. "I can read a little bit, if you want me to find some flowers in the book for you?" He would offer, paw pointing towards the flower that was on the top of the page, "I don't really have a favorite flower, but maybe I can find one in the book one day." He wanted something badass, but he wasn't too sure flowers could be that.
