Very much unlike Lethe, Arvid had a tendency to thrive when he was in the spotlight. Hell, there was a reason why he had captured all those prisoners, besides just wanting some test subjects to indulge in the sciences with. Specifically, he had wanted to impress. Particularly Sojourn, but really he didn't care who he was impressing, as long as he could get them to think about only him, even if it was only for a little while. This didn't mean that he was constantly desperate for attention, no – such a thing would be a pretty big detriment to his research – he just enjoyed it. He liked being center stage, and found that it drove him to do bigger and better things in the future, as well. There was a chance that could end up angering some people, sure, but he didn't care. He'd take them on without hesitation if he needed to. Really, it would seem to anyone with eyes that Arvid and Lethe were pretty much polar opposites.
Yet, it seemed as though they shared an interest in books in common. Sure, Leche technically wasn't reading the book, but curiosity could certainly lead to that later on down the line. For now, she could enjoy the pictures. Later? Perhaps she could even read the "scribbles" that came along with them.
It was because of this shared interest that Arvid found his tail wagging as he approached, glancing over the book that the tiny dragon had with her. He let out a low hum of approval before speaking, multicolored eyes gleaming, "Well, Lethe... no matter where you found this book, it's quite the interesting one. Maybe at some point I could teach you how to read it properly? The pictures are very nice, but the facts that come along with them are also fascinating." Especially to him, considering how heavily his work with poisons relied on plants. This knowledge was made somewhat obvious as he heard Inferno and Aphra arguing, glancing over before he spoke up plainly, "Actually... even if there were foxgloves growing around here, it wouldn't be an issue to look at or touch them. The plants are only deadly when ingested – so as long as she didn't eat them, she'd be fine." Not that he trusted a child who was still so young not to stuff a poisonous plant into her mouth.
