If anyone knew how, well...Aphra-like his mother could be, it was surely him. In fact, if he was being truly honest, the moment he heard Dario request Aphra's audience, willingly, he winced. The poor thing was clearly unaware that Aphra had no interest in the affairs of her own children or their search for her maternal affection. They would learn, and hopefully learn quickly, or else Dario would be in for one hell of a ride and a lot of mental suffering for a child to endure. A constant cycle.

While Angelembrace constantly told himself that he had no interest in the clutch either, holding himself to a higher regard for his personal accomplishments and the fact he was both born first and did not come with slime, a twinge of sympathy was felt at the brute shut down that Aphra delivered, despite the minor injuries that the dragonet had sustained. On one hand, while not the softest of words chosen, Aphra did make somewhat of a good point under the disgust, one that Angel could and would have agreed with even had there been no previous bias. Hunting on her own was dangerous, she was still small enough to be carried off, perhaps even by the prey she had targeted. The jaguar cub simply squinted at the scratches, noting if there was anything to prioritize but found none. Simply banged up was all. "Do not go far from the safety of camp, Dario. You could have been eaten." While not as cold as their mother had been, Angel's voice was certainly not what one might call supportive or concerned, just vaguely disappointed in the decision. They had already lost one of the clutch, after all. Ah, but...the catch was impressive. A sigh escaped him. "Take pride in your bird, but do not do it again."
your little hands of paradise, give them here and hang on tight
