Shieldkit had never really understood his brother's obssession with rubber duckies. After all, they were just little ducks made of rubber, what was so cool about them? At least his miniature skateboards could actually do tricks if he flicked or turned them in the right way - what could Sword's ducks do? Sit there and bounce? However, the young boy knew better than to try and question Swordskit about it, considering how many times his brother had gone on a rant about how great his little rubber companions were. Their entire litter had only been alive for three months, and yet Eld felt as though he had heard Sword's "rubber ducks are amazing" speech at least a hundred times. So, for the most part, he just kept his distance when Swords was playing with his ducks, or just lightly teased him for it. This time, though, all Shieldkit had wanted to do was take a bath.
He had just gotten back from another successful exploration of the boardwalk, and he felt rather... well, dusty. One of the buildings he had snuck into seemingly hadn't been used for ages, with dust and cobwebs all around the place, raining down on poor Shieldkit as he had pushed his way inside. Now, he wanted nothing more than to wash the disgusting mess from his fur, only to find out that Swordskit was already hogging the bathroom, no doubt just playing around with his toys. Hearing Sword's muffled words from inside the bathroom, Eld just scowled, calling back over the sound of rushing water, "Oh, shaddup Swords! I want to take a bath, and you can't just hog the bathroom forever, now can ya!" Then, the boy stood up on his hind legs, claws gripping the handle as he shoved the door open. He hadn't realized what a mistake that would truly be.
A harsh gasping cry left Shieldkit as the wall of water hit him, drenching his pelt and throwing him backwards. He had little to no idea of what was going on as he was tossed about, back hitting a wall before he was finally tossed out, onto the beach. In his drenched and collapsed state, the young feline made no effort to move or speak just yet, simply laying in the sand as he tried to process what had happened. At the very least, he was no longer covered in dust.
