SPLISH SPLASH ☆ oopsie - SWORDSKIT. - 02-14-2021 He held onto the duck floatie for dear life, he didn't know what to do but he could hear the shuffling of someone behind the door. He began to yell "DON'T OPEN THE DOOR! I REPEAT! DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR!" Unbeknownst to the small kitten, he was not aware that his siblings or parents would not be able to hear his muffled screaming cause of the water. He let out a gasp and held his breath as the water finally reached him, okay, maybe someone would have to open the door or else he would drown. His awesome lungs couldn't save him forever, after all. Oh yeah, he was going to be in trouble. ooc; basically, the bathroom is flooded and whoever posts next/opens the door. it'll all go outside and send everyone inside the house outside onto the beach as the end result AHSNJFJGJGJGJG — Reggan
Re: SPLISH SPLASH ☆ oopsie - SHIELDKIT. - 02-16-2021

[sup]© tikki[/sup]WITH EVERY STORY COMES A STALEMATE Shieldkit had never really understood his brother's obssession with rubber duckies. After all, they were just little ducks made of rubber, what was so cool about them? At least his miniature skateboards could actually do tricks if he flicked or turned them in the right way - what could Sword's ducks do? Sit there and bounce? However, the young boy knew better than to try and question Swordskit about it, considering how many times his brother had gone on a rant about how great his little rubber companions were. Their entire litter had only been alive for three months, and yet Eld felt as though he had heard Sword's "rubber ducks are amazing" speech at least a hundred times. So, for the most part, he just kept his distance when Swords was playing with his ducks, or just lightly teased him for it. This time, though, all Shieldkit had wanted to do was take a bath. He had just gotten back from another successful exploration of the boardwalk, and he felt rather... well, dusty. One of the buildings he had snuck into seemingly hadn't been used for ages, with dust and cobwebs all around the place, raining down on poor Shieldkit as he had pushed his way inside. Now, he wanted nothing more than to wash the disgusting mess from his fur, only to find out that Swordskit was already hogging the bathroom, no doubt just playing around with his toys. Hearing Sword's muffled words from inside the bathroom, Eld just scowled, calling back over the sound of rushing water, "Oh, shaddup Swords! I want to take a bath, and you can't just hog the bathroom forever, now can ya!" Then, the boy stood up on his hind legs, claws gripping the handle as he shoved the door open. He hadn't realized what a mistake that would truly be. A harsh gasping cry left Shieldkit as the wall of water hit him, drenching his pelt and throwing him backwards. He had little to no idea of what was going on as he was tossed about, back hitting a wall before he was finally tossed out, onto the beach. In his drenched and collapsed state, the young feline made no effort to move or speak just yet, simply laying in the sand as he tried to process what had happened. At the very least, he was no longer covered in dust. It wasn't up to her to judge her brother for really wanting to take baths and play with ducks. After all, they were kids, and baths were nice. She actually could understand wanting to take a bath, but when Shieldkit returned, her nose wrinkled from where she lay eyeing a piece of seaglass. Her head turned towards him as he slowly walked to the door, calling out to their brother. Her eyes darted down to the floor planks, where little dribbles of water were coming through.
The hair on her neck stood up, and she opened her mouth, looking up at her brother- and it was soon too late. Her body was engulfed- while the impact wasn't quite as bad as Shield's, she ended up being stuck in the room filled with water much longer. Her paw had gotten trapped between a piece of furniture and a wall. Wyvern strugged and tossed against the water, before it blew her free as well, drifting out to the beach with her brothers. She didn't appear to be breathing, however, unmoving and silent. Oh god... I'm so dead... He thought biting the inside of his cheek as the soaked kitten would pick up Azul running over to Wyvernkit noticing that she wasn't breathing in comparison to Eld, he set the duckling down only to mew out quietly "Wyvy? Oh my god! Wyvy, please wake up... I'm s-sorry!" Tears beginning to form in his eyes and slipping down his already drenched cheeks, he began to nudge her gently in hopes of her waking up. Ah, this was his fault. Gunkit would snitch on him and his parents would be so mad. His dad would kill him! "W-WYVY... P-PLEASE!" He began to wail as the tears began to fall a lot more, he nudged her again a bit more desperate this time. If only he had turned off the running water then his siblings would be okay, he sniffled loudly as he lifted a paw to wipe away his tears in a sloppy manner. He pressed closer to his sister not saying another word already prepared for Gunkit to come over say something and run off to snitch on him. He deserved it. Swordskit pressed his nose into his sisters cheek as he continued to son quietly "I'm s-sorry... I'm sorry, Wyvy..." — Reggan

Or, possibly, he was at the wrong place at the wrong time, beyond intervention, help he could never give. What if. Absent had he been, pursuits beyond enclosed walls more intriguing than the poor offering of the interior, well worn the stay of old games, the flare of toys taken when he had none to pilfer them from. What exactly his attention was upon an unknown, one he would know and another may only ceaselessly ponder, his return offering no clues. He carried nothing, though unkempt and dirtied the dark strands of his coat, imperfections hidden to such a degree he seemed merely messy rather than the truth of being grime coated. Enjoyed was this state, however, different made the basic, his own distaste for cleanliness known well. Off guard was he caught with the sudden wall of water that erupted from the front door, the force of the passing liquid enough to press it against the house exterior. Silent his watch, though mouth fell open and he seemed likely to make noise had he the ability in that moment, sharp the closure, accompanied by a click as his teeth slammed together. Transparent the tide and so easily seen those suspended within, haste pushing him forth down the few steps allowing him to move from boardwalk to beach. Continued his quick movement, too much so, sand added for flat upon his face had he fallen, uncaring of the clinging particles. Too much going on, about each scattered, movement a draw. Had he known would he had looked, most likely, a moth to a flame was he, prone to falling victim to the curiosity that killed his brethren. There was no satisfaction, nothing but a knot, breath shortened as the words bypassed the dull ring, the world cruelly coming back to him. Slow his forward creep, the jostle igniting a hope that quickly died as proximity dispelled the notion she was the cause. "She hasta wake up, she's gotta." What else to say with the sting of tears in eyes that ached, his refusal, or maybe he simply forgot, to blink made apparent. He did not understand, could not, fine the hope clung to as Wild further closed the distance. Too cold, damp the fur of her shoulder, gentle shake grown rough when response was not given. "Come on, Wyv, it ain't sleepy time." Not because he had been particularly hurt - although his side was throbbing with pain as he shifted in the sand - but because his head was still spinning from all that had happened. He was barely able to push himself up to his paws before he toppled back over, groaning at the feeling of wet sand sticking to his fur. He was vaguely aware of the fact that he had probably swallowed quite a bit of water, and while it definitely wasn't as bad as salt water, it still didn't feel good. He was barely aware of what had happened to Wyvernkit, too focused on his own issues. He shook his head from side to side, muttering as he dug his claws lightly into the ground below him, "Ugh... sick... I'm pretty sure I drank a bunch of that. Swords, I swear, I'm gonna toss you into the ocean..." He then opened his green gaze fully, taking in what was going on around him - Gunkit was present, and Wildkit had just arrived, and Wyvern was... Wyvern didn't look like she was alive. Shield's heart immediately sunk, his face turning from vaguely annoyed to petrified in merely a moment. Shaking the wetness from his drenched fur, he managed to stumble his way over, shoving at Swordskit a bit as he moved in close. He muttered to Swordskit as his tail lashed behind him, a stubborn expression on the brown feline's face, "She's not dead! She's gonna wake up fine, we just have to help her, you dummy." The male then straightened up, stretching out his limbs before he reached a paw out to press it against Wyvernkit's stomach. He then stood up on his back legs, attempting to come down on Wyv's stomach to hopefully force water from her. He had no idea if it would actually work, but it wasn't as if he could just stand by and do nothing. There were no adults in sight, and it wasn't as if any of his siblings were actually helping. Gunkit was trying to find someone to snitch to, Swordskit was just being a bit crybaby, and Wild was doing nothing but staring. If the situation hadn't been so dire, Eld probably would've snapping at all of them, telling them to find something to do. Actually... after a moment, he turned and hissed at Swords and Wild, a huff leaving his lungs, "And stop crying! Go find dad, or some other adult, they'll know what to do!" Even if he was trying his best to help Wyv wake up, it wasn't as if he had actual medical knowledge. It was like swimming while being thrown against the rocks at the bottom of a cliff. She couldn't breath, couldn't truly move anywhere, and she couldn't see. Her vision was black, the voices in her ears muffled, muddled, far away. A nudge here, a cling there. Her brothers- she knew it was her brothers on top of her, trying to get her to wake up, to move. She couldn't breathe. Her eyes were wide open, eyebrows drawn and body starting to squirm. Fear started to take over, causing her body to shiver. Or was that just the cold air on her skin? And then came Shieldkit. Literally, came Shieldkit, down on her side. A rush of water came from her mouth, and she inhaled sharply, her eyes widening then squeezing shut. She coughed, trying to sit up, water continuing to come from her lungs and exit her body. When the majority of it was freed, she coughed, wheezed, hacked, before swallowing and grimacing. Slowly, she opened her purple visage, breathes still heaving. Her gaze swept from brother to brother. Shield, who was looking at her all angry, Wildkit, standing there expectantly, and Sword already snotting all over the place. She shivered again, closing her eyes before slowly trying to wobble to her paws, and promptly failing. There was no way she was getting up right now. "Is.. hic.. is everyone okay?" She mumbled out, her eyes on her paws, ears flat to her head. She didn't feel anger, or shame, but rather wanted to sleep. She was exhausted. Every bone in her body felt like collapsing, curling up against her Dad or Mapa, warm and snuggled up. This hell, her body was feeling? The cold, the shivers, the hard breathing, the water she was still expelling slowly? It made her mind ache, eyes half closed and staring at the ground, water dripping from her nose and fur. "speech" |
