SOOTHSAYER ❝ ROAN ❞ THE TYPHOON
Roan hated fighting. He had hated it ever since he was a kit, watching his family suffer as a result of endless fights, and cruelty. His opinion of battle hadn't changed since then, but he certainly knew that it had its time, and its place. And in this case... with this fight, things were definitely warranted. The Typhoon had a home to take back, and although Roan knew he couldn't do all that much on the fighting front, he wasn't about to just hide away. He needed to make sure that he could help his friends and family, even if they got injured while they were out on the battlefield. He couldn't afford to let even a moment pass by, since each and every one of them would be useful for making sure things didn't get any worse. Even as the fighting erupted outside the temple, Roan didn't shy away from it, instead just grabbing his bag firmly in his jaws and rushing out into the open air. He let his satchel slip down against his side as he leaped into the air, his wings catching onto the breeze and lifting him upwards as he moved to survey things from above. His blue eyes were cold and calculating, wondering where he should choose to soar down.
He looked everything over, seeing Diya come down brutally upon Brutei. Perhaps if they had been in a different situation, he would've felt bad for Brutei, or winced at the terrible violence that was going on. However, Brutei was a member of the Coalition, and considering who he had chosen to ally himself with... he deserved that death. He let out a shrill whistle of approval in Diya's direction, before his aqua gaze zeroed in on Atticus, and Quasar. He didn't like the Glades – they had helped to bring this about, after all – but at least they had decided to do the right thing now. That was enough for Roan to consider them a boon, and thus part of what he needed to protect. So, with a low hiss from the back of his throat, the soothsayer came to land near where Quasar and Atticus were locked in combat. He called to Quasar, claws digging into the earth as he kept himself stable, "Hey, you! Palm kid! If you need any healing, come over to me! I'll help!" At the moment, however, Roan wasn't content with just standing on the sidelines. He did that ninety percent of the time, and now wasn't the time for cowardice.
With a snarl, the medic was able to feel power welling up in his chest, sparks growing along the edge of his jaw, dancing between the gaps in his teeth. He briefly closed his eyes, allowing himself to focus the electricity around his front limbs. Attention turning from Quasar to Atticus, Roan dove forward and tried to lash his electrified claws across the back of his opponent's hind legs. He further attempted to reach out with his electricity, trying to shock Atticus and hopefully lock his back legs up with the sudden jolt of it all. Whether he was successful or not, the draconic feline would then stumble a few steps back, claws once again digging into the ground in order to stabilize himself. He could only hope that he would be prepared for any attacks that could come in his direction, although he wasn't too worried about it. The Coalition was clearly outnumbered, and most of the other group's attention was focused solely on Goldie and the other major players in this entire game that Stryker seemed to be playing.
