the girl had seen the lynx but had never worked up the gut to say hi, until today. nose up in the air, she tracked him by scent, nose twitching as the she-wolf trotted down the sandy embankment, "well, i think it was quite pretty", she called out as she trotted to the water's edge. paws digging into the soft sand she hummed and dug up a gorgeous blue shell, "how about this one, mister?" she offered, picking it up daintily and approached him with a wagging tail and lowered head.

dropping the shell between them gently, she offered a friendly smile, "hello. my name's quennel. what's your name, mister?" she asked with a tip of her head, the frilly collar around her neck surprisingly remaining in place. shaking her coat a little to free it from the water she grinned, wondering if she should resume her swimming from earlier.
