❝ A TAINTED MAN WITH A TAINTED HEART THAT GOD DIDN'T WANT NO PART ❞
Pincher's lifetime was filled with the situations where he had say goodbye too many times. Goodbye to friends. Lovers. Enemies. There were so many times he had bid farewells to relationships that he had lost count of how many he had lost connection with and never seeing them again. It was something he had grown used to, a process that was like rinsing his paws for dinner without thinking much about it. It was practically a muscle reflex for him, shifting on and off without much thought. He didn't have a lot of close relationships in the Typhoon except his fiance and his children as well as his siblings but that was most likely his fault. He tended to distance himself from others, fearing that if he got too close, he would grow overly attached and when they would leave, it would lead to heartache. And he was tired of feeling it, tired of how it would make his body feel with the emotions that he tried so hard to keep under his control. You could only feel so much when it became a constant reminder that he was trapped in his immortality while everything else changed around him. But despite his attempt to not feel, to not allow himself to get close — Pincher was an idiot. He held an incredible strategist mind that was filled with multiple pathways he could go in but he was an idiot for allowing his emotions to get the best of him in many occasions. One of them had been when he had to say to Connor.
No one except Solveig knew about his first born sons. The ones that had been killed by cult members that sought out the blood of the youth. Donovan had been his serious son, the one that was intelligent and reserved with polite manners, controlling but patient. Theo had been the ray of sunshine in his life, a vibrant eager boy with the taste for adventure forever trapped in his heart despite the innocence that shielded him from the horrible truths of the Earth. Connor had been a hybrid of his sons' personalities and reminded him so much of them that he immediatly wanted to protect him no matter what as if he was family. But then Connor had to leave, to complete his mission. Stupid fucking mission. He despised whoever was telling Connor to go continue his objective because Pincher wanted him here in the island, to be a part of the crew as well as part of his family. But things didn't always went his way despite his desire for it to be just as he planned it to be. He had forced himself to bid the silver tabby farewell with a gift of an onyx black tie he believed suited Connor. It was something to remember the Captain by, a tie he had wanted to give to one of his sons if they had grown up. But they had never had the chance to.
After Connor had left, Pincher had forced himself to blind his sadness with work. He continued on, pushing himself into continuing his attempt to make the Typhoon better for everyone, mountains of paperwork and duties stacking up on his desk and on his shoulders. He was beginning to burn out from the constant stress and work as well as the duties that he had been forced into by the creatures of the water that demanded his attention during the night time. It was irksome and frankly, Pincher wanted to just run away from it all. But he had responsibilities and he wasn't going to back down even if his chest ached when he thought of Connor, hoping he was doing already wherever he was. For now, Pincher was simply was following after his daughter to make sure she didn't push herself too hard, his figure a little far since he was smoking and didn't want her to catch anything. The serious male glanced over towards the ocean as he watched the crystalline waves crash against the sandy shores, the noise always comforting to Pincher. He sucked in a small breath before hearing the bells ring which caused his jet black ears to prick, picking up the pace to see what was going on.
The ash gray jaguar spat out the rest of the cigarette onto the sand where it died as he reached the other crewmates who appeared to be surrounding someone. His intense electric blue eyes narrowed as the towering wildcat got close enough to spot the silver tabby, his eyes widening as he realized that it was Connor. "C-Connor?!" Pincher's usually steady voice seemed to catch in his throat in a breathy stutter as he halted beside Goldenluxury, his towering lean form tense with shock as the Captain parted his jaws to say something but nothing came out. He was back. He had decided to return to them. Joy washed over Pincher as a genuine smile began to lace his muzzle as he listened to Goldie question him but he remained standing a little far off before aiming one paw to grab the male and bring him in a tight embrace. Pincher usually never behaved this way but he felt relief and happiness to see his son again.
