Barb was immediately intrigued by Iota's arrival--her entrance had signaled the end of the awkward silence that had succeeded Barb's loud complaints and wholly unnecessary backflip. (Not that Barb thought it was unnecessary--on the contrary, she believed that it had been pivotal.) Barb greeted her heartily, with an exaggerated dip of the head and a "What's up?"
She watched as Iota made a beeline for--oh gods all--a massive, massive cache of alcohol that she had somehow missed. Which--how? For the past several days, Barb had just been roaming around with nothing to do--weaving in and out of buildings, taking long naps in her dumpster, walking around in the marshes to see if she could find any gators to fight. Besides, Barb was Barb--she practically had a radar for trouble.
So when Iota suggested that everybody groove, Barb joined in with an over-loud "HELL yes!" At near about the speed of light, she bounded over and guzzled down some alcohol--at such a speed that she couldn't possibly have tasted it--and then popped back onto the floor, where she faced Iota and asked, with a devilish smile, "Wanna dance?"
