When the prospect of visiting the other groups had first been brought up, Aurum's initial thought had been Tanglewood. However, he had been quick to squash that initial instinct. Even if he was already feeling a sort of homesickness for the swamp, he knew returning there so soon would only cause him more pain. It would only reopen old scars he was none too enthusiastic about facing for the moment, so even though the expectation had been for him to return to his former home, he had instead picked the Typhoon. Next to Tanglewood – and now the Knights, on some level – the Typhoon was basically his home away from home, with a great deal of his friends and even family being within the pirate group. His last visit hadn't been all that long ago, when he had arrived with supplies from Tanglewood, but this trip was a bit more personal. This was more of a "get to know each other" visit for both the Knights of Concird and the Typhoon, and he could only hope he could make Goldie and the other Typhooners see how great his new home was. He knew that this visit wasn't yet for trying to make allies – just to introduce themselves and deliver some gifts – but that didn't mean he wasn't already considering it. The Typhoon would make a reliable, powerful ally, even in their still reeling state from the meteor strike.
The trip to the Typhoon had been mostly painless, with Aurum having to fly just a little bit low so that he wouldn't jostle and drop any of the items within the basket held in his jaws. Novels, native herbs, daggers, snacks... Icarus really had gone all out when he constructed these baskets for the other groups, not that the lion was complaining. He liked bringing gifts to his friends, and while it perhaps wouldn't make as much of an impact as when he had brought supplies, it would hopefully still bring smiles to their faces. Before long, the angel allowed himself a slow descent, coming to a landing near the massive bell that he had grown quite acquainted with over the years. Carefully putting his basket of goodies down, the lion lifted himself up on his hind legs to hit the bell, listening to the ringing sing outwards across the territory. Afterwards, he sat back on his haunches, smiling as he called out, "Where are all of my favorite pirates? I've come bearing gifts!" Even though he knew he would have to explain the purpose of this trip, he hoped that the others wouldn't be too terribly nosy. Both about the new Knights of Concord scent clinging to his fur, and the fact that the scent of Tanglewood was rapidly growing stale.
