[div style="text-align: justify;"]It had only been a day, but Connor had already learned quite a lot about The Typhoon. For starters, their territory was, obviously, tropical. It was extremely humid, and while he was certain the high humidity was probably due to the season, Connor guessed it was like this most of the year as well. As far as the clan rankings went, however, they were structured in tiers and themed after pirate crew ranks, with the captain as the leader, the quartermaster as the deputy, etc. It was a lot of info to take in, that was for sure, but he would manage. In truth, the feline was a bit exhausted, his thoughts seemingly going in 50 different directions as Connor tried to process it all. He needed a breather, to go somewhere he could be alone and recollect his thoughts. The problem? He didn't really have anywhere to go, not now at least. So, his next best option? Wander into the rainforest and try and find a quiet place he could relax. It was a risk, since he wasn't sure what creatures lived in there aside from the tropical birds, but he would be fine... probably. x

As he pushed his way through the foliage, ducking underneath vines and branches, he made sure to stay alert, ears twitching as he listened for any signs that something dangerous was nearby. So far, everything had been quiet, aside from the chatter of the parrots and other birds in the trees above. It was only when he came to a dusty footpath that Connor forgot all about the potential predators stalking him nearby, eyes narrowing in confusion as he stared at the old footprints on the ground. From the scent, they were several weeks old or more, and he was surprised they hadn't been washed away yet. Curious, he decided to follow the path, treading carefully in case there were any traps nearby. A few minutes passed and his ears would perk up at the sounds of a waterfall, picking up his pace. Eventually, he emerged at small crystalline pond, the area surrounding it filled with tropical flowers of all different kinds. In different places around the pond, there were oddly shaped white rocks of varying sizes, with two of the largest rocks on either side of the footpath he had just emerged from. Both of these rocks were surrounded by their own tiny pools of sand, neatly lined with a border of tiny rocks on the outside, most likely to keep people from stepping in it and ruining the lines drawn in the sand. But that wasn't all- large, shaped stone plates surrounded the edges of the pond, a few of them even making a path out to the center of the pond, where one could feel the mist from the tiny waterfall currently cascading down from the ledge above the area.
Standing in awe, Connor was frozen in place as he took the entire thing in, a small smile eventually forming on his muzzle. This... this was perfect. Making his way over to the stone path to sit in the middle of the pond, he watched the koi fish within the pond as they weaved their way in and out of the lily pads, already starting to feel himself grow calmer. Whoever made this place... he was thankful to them. It was shame they didn't seem to come here anymore. Perhaps... he could take care of it in their place.
