[div style="text-align: justify;"]It had only been a day, but Connor had already learned quite a lot about The Typhoon. For starters, their territory was, obviously, tropical. It was extremely humid, and while he was certain the high humidity was probably due to the season, Connor guessed it was like this most of the year as well. As far as the clan rankings went, however, they were structured in tiers and themed after pirate crew ranks, with the captain as the leader, the quartermaster as the deputy, etc. It was a lot of info to take in, that was for sure, but he would manage. In truth, the feline was a bit exhausted, his thoughts seemingly going in 50 different directions as Connor tried to process it all. He needed a breather, to go somewhere he could be alone and recollect his thoughts. The problem? He didn't really have anywhere to go, not now at least. So, his next best option? Wander into the rainforest and try and find a quiet place he could relax. It was a risk, since he wasn't sure what creatures lived in there aside from the tropical birds, but he would be fine... probably.

As he pushed his way through the foliage, ducking underneath vines and branches, he made sure to stay alert, ears twitching as he listened for any signs that something dangerous was nearby. So far, everything had been quiet, aside from the chatter of the parrots and other birds in the trees above. It was only when he came to a dusty footpath that Connor forgot all about the potential predators stalking him nearby, eyes narrowing in confusion as he stared at the old footprints on the ground. From the scent, they were several weeks old or more, and he was surprised they hadn't been washed away yet. Curious, he decided to follow the path, treading carefully in case there were any traps nearby. A few minutes passed and his ears would perk up at the sounds of a waterfall, picking up his pace. Eventually, he emerged at small crystalline pond, the area surrounding it filled with tropical flowers of all different kinds. In different places around the pond, there were oddly shaped white rocks of varying sizes, with two of the largest rocks on either side of the footpath he had just emerged from. Both of these rocks were surrounded by their own tiny pools of sand, neatly lined with a border of tiny rocks on the outside, most likely to keep people from stepping in it and ruining the lines drawn in the sand. But that wasn't all- large, shaped stone plates surrounded the edges of the pond, a few of them even making a path out to the center of the pond, where one could feel the mist from the tiny waterfall currently cascading down from the ledge above the area.

Standing in awe, Connor was frozen in place as he took the entire thing in, a small smile eventually forming on his muzzle. This... this was perfect. Making his way over to the stone path to sit in the middle of the pond, he watched the koi fish within the pond as they weaved their way in and out of the lily pads, already starting to feel himself grow calmer. Whoever made this place... he was thankful to them. It was shame they didn't seem to come here anymore. Perhaps... he could take care of it in their place.

Re: FLIP / o, zen garden/m&g - ARGUS - 06-26-2018

[align=center]

SOMEBODY SHOWED YOU ALL OF THE HORROR-
YOU WEREN'T BORN WITH IT!
[div style="background-color:#BG COLOR;width:90%; overflow: stretch;text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt;color: #E0EEEE;"] Argus was in need of a safe space plenty of time, but unlike most of her clanmates who would shove the bundling tide of emotions or even find some place to rest- and think. Argus contemplated alone within the skies. The officer had always preferred the stuttering breath of wind underneath her wings, and the rays of sun resting upon her mantle. It was calming in a way that silence seemed to swarm- where up in the clouds the wind pulled her attention near constantly. Meditation was something Argus used to practice, when her mind was a buzz of the occasional thought here and there. But now it were swarming. Different persona's clouding her thoughts until they became red hued hazes of rage. Back when Argus was no less hollow then she were shinigami. But time like those were rarer now. The mark on her chest was proof enough of her newer nature, and she had harder times trying to ignore it when she was alone.

Argus had heard of the newcomer Conner from among the vine- so to say. Argus being a rather older character along this terrain here, and there was little she didn't attempt to know about. More so to do with her recent re-activity, comeing back out from her secluded spaces within this island- plenty of places to hide in- trying to catch up gave a name, and she followed it through. Not to hurt or warn or any real aggression in mind as one would expect- there was no malicious intent beside to greet, and to see how the feline was settling in. General friendliness usually went a long way within helping someone feel more welcome.

However, following the distict odd scent along the jungle- she did not expect to stumble upon them here among a zen guarden. Dull red eyes peering from atop a tree branch, giving a steady dull glow from the shade Argus usually preferred (and could no longer hide in with her brightly colored pelt). She didn't just sit and stre- takeing a moment to watch if only to see any hostilities before stepping out of the shade. Walking along the set path but not making a move to cross onto the pond. Her gaze contemplative as she stared into the details of the scenery. "I didn't know a place like this was even hidden within the trees. Hmm, shows what could be hiding under the normally chaotic impression of this jungle hmm?" Argus offered a light conversation started, polite and gentle despite the very danger that sparked in her presence.

"Can't say i know you, though i have been a little off as of late. Name's Argus. How are you settling in?"

IF LOOKS COULD KILL ✧ Vanessa Carlysle - The Typhoon
Vanessa had quickly gotten used to The Typhoon's territory. It was very relaxing and beautiful. She often spent her days on the beach, looking at the ocean, though she also spent time in the jungle, admiring all of the creatures around her.

She had not been there when Connor had joined, so she figured it would be a good idea to introduce herself now, like Argus was. The Privateer had made her way over, taking a seat next to the Officer.

"Vanessa, one of the Privateers here." She said.

Re: FLIP / o, zen garden/m&g - guts - 06-26-2018

He didn't at all mind living on an island, since it was always warm and pretty out. Unless there was a storm, but luckily, those were few and far in between. Being on the beach was nice, too, except for all the annoying-ass seagulls. He could live without them. Either way, it was his dream to live in such a nice place. He had other things he wanted to do, of course, but those were yet to be told to anyone else. The clan's system, though, was a bit odd. He wasn't unfamiliar with working in groups, but they had never been so large.

Greed hadn't been there for Connor's joining, either, but had eventually heard of him through others--namely Pincher and Roxanne. Still, he wanted to greet him properly. When he noticed everyone wandering off, he couldn't help but grow curious, following after them. What he saw at the end of the trail was breath-taking, to say the least.

His staring at the garden was cut short, though, when he realized that introductions were going on. A mischievous smirk on his face, he turns away from the garden and walks over to the small group gathered. "Hey. The name's Greed," he says simply, taking a seat.

Re: FLIP / o, zen garden/m&g - PINCHER - 06-27-2018

There was a lot to taken in when one joined the Typhoon and in a way, Pincher was glad that it was a common emotion that occurred. It helped show who was willing to push through the pounds of information and settle with a determined mind in contributing. This included the entrance ritual but it wasn't mandatory, it was mostly for members that desired to show their capability of overcoming whatever haunts them or is blinding them from reality. The territory was also a challenge if one slipped out of the whole “this is a vacation spot” perspective and realized the dangers of it. Surrounded by miles of water and trapped in a mysterious jungle that was centered with an active volcano would be ready to explode at any second if it ever so much as shifted from it's normal everyday routine of bubbling and sizzling like some fucking frying pan. Pincher didn't feel too much fear of the possibility of it exploding because it was a rather calm volcano that bubbled out magma without the desire for it to be everywhere yet he wasn't going to tell anyone that since it helped newbies be on their toes in case of anything.

Pincher had been here for months now and was able to inform of where was what and why. He knew many locations and not because he was a senior in the ranks of the crew but because he found enjoyment in knowing where was what. Despite being a rather disorganized male when it came to maintaining his items all orderly, Pincher enjoyed being able to know where was what when it came to geography. Hell, he has traveled almost everywhere in the massive island, scribbling down various landmarks as well as how to reach them. He was aware some spots had been left empty due to losing track of time and focusing on leadership duties than his hobby of mapmaking. Due to this, Pincher had decided that today should be a free day for him since he was craving something new and fresh. So the tall canine set out to wander about with his memory already analyzing the environment around him as he pushed through the greenery and into a pathway. He managed to catch the fresh scent of crewmates and decided to see where everyone was deciding to head.

His large ears softly bounced with each step on the fertile volcanic ground, his electric aqua blue eyes fluttered around the scenery that unfolded before him as he stepped into the clearing. A garden. A very peculiar garden to be exact. He looked rather dumbfounded at how someone had managed to maintain it in a decent shape but he guessed anything was possible with effort. He stalked cautiously towards the others with his nose being stuffed by the various scents. Weird. A place for hippies he supposed as he raised a light brown paw to soothe the weird feeling before turning to face Connor. He rather liked the blue tabby despite being quite out of place, perhaps because he reminded him of someone that Pincher had found important in his past. ”Is this your crib now, Connie?” Pincher playfully inquired while walking past the crewmates that introduced themselves, interested in the pond that held koi fish since he had already met Connor before.

Re: FLIP / o, zen garden/m&g - CAESAR CIPHER. - 06-27-2018

REIGN HAVOC FROM ABOVE !
CAESAR CIPHER. MALE. THE TYPHOON. PRIVATEER.
As much as Caesar hated the ocean, he did admire how chaotic the waves could be. The noise of the waves crashing onto the shore honestly wasn't comforting to him, but what was comforting was how dangerous the water could be, especially when it stormed. The jungle in their territory was much more soothing to Caesar, if not only because the jungle had more areas he could hide in.

So that would explain why Caesar was near the area and he only really came closer to the group when he heard people talking from a distance. The temporarily demoted Officer came after Pincher, his head tilted at Connor. "The hell are you doing?" He asked, referring to how Connor looked awestruck by the scenery. He didn't quite understand why Connor was so amused by the pond, let alone the area but... to each their own, he supposed. He was there for Connor's joining, so hopefully the guy would remember him.

[div style="text-align: justify;"]His eyes looked over the garden. He remembered finding one in a Jedi Temple. There was a dead Jedi next to it too, pleasantly... He knew they were suppose to be about peace or serenity. Something silly like that.

ROXANNE ROUX CREWMATE THE TYPHOON
[div style="width: 51%; text-align: justify; font-size: 10pt; letter-spacing: 0px; font-family: georgia; color: #ff748c;"]Walking over with a smile tugging at her lips, the winged Siamese would make her way over before settling herself next to Pincher with both ears angled. Hearing the Emperor speak, the she-cat would let off a small shrug [b]"I think it's nice!" She decided to get a higher view of the place and would clamber on top of Pinch with both ears swiveled forward only to smile at Connor "It looks fantastic, Concon!" She chirped feeling that the place was quite relaxing and well, she very much liked it indeed. Those koi fish looked quite appeasing too, she thought they were snacks when you got hungry in the garden.
