She had up and left her home, leaving behind a small note to her foster mother detailing her reasons for departure. She had then traveled a great distant, relying only on rumors she had heard. And after a few weeks, she finally found Tanglewood - Banglehood -, and with it, she found her sister, Nayru.
Nayru. All her life, Freyja had looked up to her older sister. Whenever her townspeople would speak of her, Freyja would don a knowing smile and agree that, yes, her sister was wise, kind, and capable of amazing things.
Despite having been cast out by her father in favor of Nayru, Freyja felt no ill will towards the newly promoted Sawbone. The young goddess held no bad emotions in her heart for her sister because none of it was her fault. Freyja did not blame her sister for her father only trying to see the magic of their mother inside of Nayru. Freyja did not blame her sister for the way her father gave her away before she was old enough to remember. Freyja did not put any fault on Nayru. She loved her sister, and she would always love her sister.
The seal point tabby was happy for her too. Her sister was doing great things in Tanglewood, she knew. Nayru was an amazing healer - that much was evident from her new rank. Oh, how Freyja had grinned and danced happily when she heard her sister's name fall from Beck's lips at the meeting. That had been a proud moment for the fae, and if she were honest, she was still proud! It didn't matter that she didn't have a fancy rank to rival her sister. No, she was just pleased her dear sister was thriving.
Nayru had a good home here, and maybe she didn't need Freyja. And that was okay too. Even if Nayru hated her and wished she wasn't around, that was okay. Even if Nayru thought she was stupid and not worth wasting her breath, that was fine. Freyja could and would live peacefully knowing her sister was happy here among found family and friends.
Freyja hummed lightly as she let these thoughts roll through her head like waves upon a beach. She was focused reading an old book of fairy tales, but her thoughts were distracting her. She turned the page, however, knowing what the words said without needing to read them. She continued on this way, flipping pages after a few moments while she focused on her thoughts instead of the written word.
