SMILE LIKE YOU MEAN IT ; ooc prompt, open - Freyja - 06-06-2018

[align=center][div style=" background-color: transparent; border: 0px solid black; width: 530px; min-height: 9px; font-family:; line-height: 110%; text-align: justify; padding: 20px"]So much had happened in so little time in Freyja's life. She had up and left her home, leaving behind a small note to her foster mother detailing her reasons for departure. She had then traveled a great distant, relying only on rumors she had heard. And after a few weeks, she finally found Tanglewood - Banglehood -, and with it, she found her sister, Nayru.

Nayru. All her life, Freyja had looked up to her older sister. Whenever her townspeople would speak of her, Freyja would don a knowing smile and agree that, yes, her sister was wise, kind, and capable of amazing things.

Despite having been cast out by her father in favor of Nayru, Freyja felt no ill will towards the newly promoted Sawbone. The young goddess held no bad emotions in her heart for her sister because none of it was her fault. Freyja did not blame her sister for her father only trying to see the magic of their mother inside of Nayru. Freyja did not blame her sister for the way her father gave her away before she was old enough to remember. Freyja did not put any fault on Nayru. She loved her sister, and she would always love her sister.

The seal point tabby was happy for her too. Her sister was doing great things in Tanglewood, she knew. Nayru was an amazing healer - that much was evident from her new rank. Oh, how Freyja had grinned and danced happily when she heard her sister's name fall from Beck's lips at the meeting. That had been a proud moment for the fae, and if she were honest, she was still proud! It didn't matter that she didn't have a fancy rank to rival her sister. No, she was just pleased her dear sister was thriving.

Nayru had a good home here, and maybe she didn't need Freyja. And that was okay too. Even if Nayru hated her and wished she wasn't around, that was okay. Even if Nayru thought she was stupid and not worth wasting her breath, that was fine. Freyja could and would live peacefully knowing her sister was happy here among found family and friends.

Freyja hummed lightly as she let these thoughts roll through her head like waves upon a beach. She was focused reading an old book of fairy tales, but her thoughts were distracting her. She turned the page, however, knowing what the words said without needing to read them. She continued on this way, flipping pages after a few moments while she focused on her thoughts instead of the written word.

But Heed this lesson well,
When the weak court death, They find it -

Fenris when asked would say he liked to think his family, those not among the clans here - those they'd left behind after presuming that death would be final in all meaning of the word - was happy.

he missed them like a tangible wound, they had always been a band of four - the four children of lucifer, the four harbingers so to speak - war, death, famine and conquest - wherever they went heralded both fortune and omen, they were insperable

and they'd always thought they would be,

he smiled thinly at the thought - no, wherever they were now, there would only be three, he and his father now long beyond their reach it seemed - he hoped they didn't burn themselves out seraching for a way to get them, they desrved to live their lives after,

after everything.

fenris' ears pricked forwards, the sounds of flipping pages catching his attention away from his wandering thoughts - lifting his head up the tall beast picked up his pace slightly, claws clicking along floor as his tail snaked out and idly trailed behind him.

rounding into the area, silver blue eyes caught a familiar small frame - ah Freyja, Nayru's sister - he wondered over with a slight hum to signal his approach "hello Freyja" the war god rumbled idly eyeing the book she read but couldn't see which it was with the cover obscured.

Company was always something she enjoyed, and now that her thoughts were becoming a bit oppressive, she was thankful for the distraction. The tiny goddess offered the war god a brilliant smile as she sat up a little straighter.

"Hi, Fen," she purred in greeting. Emerald eyes watched as his own traveled to the book, and her gaze followed his. Oh, he was interested in her book! She picked the book up, closing it, and handed it to him. It was a large thing, full of hundreds of little stories. It was perhaps her favorite childhood possession. he tilted his head to the side as Vigener joined them, nodding to the chaser as he shifted to flop down gracefully on the floor, claws crossing over each other as he eyed the book Freyja spoke of and hummed "you could read us one if you like? Or well, summarise your favourite? I might've come across one in that book before" when one lived as long as he did, you did tend to start knowing things across multiple timelines and realms, hm.

Re: SMILE LIKE YOU MEAN IT ; ooc prompt, open - Morgan - 06-15-2018

Morgan peeked out from behind Fenrisulfr, curious. "What is 'fairy tales'?" He asked his question to nobody in particular, since it seemed that everyone else was already aware of what the term meant. The samoyed spotted the book in Freyja's paws, his tail beginning to wag. He had wanted to learn to read for quite some time, so seeing anyone else doing it was exciting to the dog. "Read something, yes!"
