After several weeks of traveling back and further between the Knights of Concord and Tanglewood, and then several days of adjusting to simply staying with the Knights, Aurum believed he was finally getting a handle on things. Even if being in another group was still relatively new to him, he was beginning to feel... comfortable within the moors of the Knights. It was just like after he had mapped out Tanglewood, and it had finally begun to feel like home. Only this time, the step that had made it feel like home was simply getting to know the others that were around him, rather than mapping the entire place out. After all, he was fairly sure trying to map out the manor alone would take several lifetimes with how much it twisted and turned, and this time year didn't even know if there were traps involved or not. Instead, he had just begun to feel like he belonged because of the familiar faces he saw around. The Knights were still a rather small, tight knit group, and he could name most that he had seen around more often. Icarus, obviously, Gordon, and Safflower... Safflower was of particular interest. The other reminded him of some of the more laid back types within Tanglewood, and that honestly put him at ease. Made him feel less stressed out in conversation.
Aurum hadn't intentionally ended up near Safflower's area within the manor that day. No, rather, he had simply been idly exploring in order to keep himself occupied. It was easy to just get lost in the seemingly neverending winding corridors, and he actually found that rather exciting, rather them frightening like some might. However, he cut his own exploration short when a familiar scent hit his nose, causing him to pause and paet pat jaws. Safflower. The other had to be somewhere around here, right? The lion hopped that he wouldn't be intruding if he dropped in for a visit just to get to know the other. It probably wouldn't even be that long, considering the tiredness that still clung to Aurum as of late – even away from Tanglewood, his nightmares had subsided only slightly. Drawn by curiosity and a want for companionship, Aurum found his way to the door that smelled most strongly of Safflower, lifting a paw to knock firmly but carefully against the wood. Not wanting to startle the other, he rambled a bit, "Safflower, are you in there? It's Aurum. I don't mean to intrude, if you're busy." He wasn't sure what Safflower would be busy with, but the angel had made a habit of being considerate, and he didn't really want to be an interruption.
