"natus vincere" ✭ asmodeus ── he blinked at her response, not really expecting it. "oh." came the thoughtful murmur as he ducked to avoid the movement of her wing. the flame in her paw drew his attention, he tilted his head at the color. so that'd why she asked for the colors. "i guess i like a light blue. like a really bright one, like my eye." he gestured with a paw at the lifted whites of his eyes. those eyes gleamed as she mentioned she would burn them. "i want to watch." his voice deepened into a growl slightly.

That got weird really quick. His gaze slowly shifted over to Kold. Atticus' head craned to the side as he pursed his lips together, debating on what to say, only to come out with: "What the fuck?" Talk about killing with spirit. The canine didn't agree with it, but to involve the kids was... rather strange. After all, the last time he knew of a child that got involved with the death of their father was Sweeney and that did not end swell. Hell-bent on revenge and fiery with an attitude, he believed his best friend never found closer. If Kold was to do this, Atticus hoped he would do it with closure and the children's mentalities in mind, rather than vengeance.

The canine's paw reached out to Asmodeus, attempting to put one on their shoulder. "I think it's best if you stay home," he interjected with. "Watching someone burn... is not for children." If only Sweeney was here to speak her mind. Then maybe Asmodeus would see his point, but for now, he tried to keep level headed and push the kids away from senseless violence.

A subtle smirk appeared on his maw as he turned to Kold. 'If you're burning Jormungand, I'll take yellow,' he proclaimed internally. Atticus wasn't keen on saying he wanted the children's father dead for ruining his relationship with Tanglewood and The Pitt.

"natus vincere" ✭ asmodeus ── atticus cursed, asmodeus wanted to laugh and remind him of his usage of language. didn't matter, they were in a grown-up's world now, no more baby stuff. grow up and get used to it. he chided himself with the narrowing of optics. he then touched him, placing a large paw gently on the cub's shoulder. that caused his muzzle to crease, a frown settling on his features as he turned his face to atticus. "please don't touch me." he would murmur, loud enough for only atticus and maybe kold to hear should she be paying attention to the exchange. he didn't want people touching him right now, he'd find closure in the people he preferred. not being touched at this state of mind was plenty fine.
atticus then pointed out that watching someone burn isn't good for children, and asmodeus replied
flatly with a "the world i grew up in isn't good for children. the childhood i had isn't good for children. the life i've had so far isn't good for children. so i'd like to watch, maybe even participate." he didn't know how genuine atticus was being and frankly he didn't really give a damn.
