cursing as she snapped open a pair of wings, the valkyrie dove down with furious eyes. she wanted to end this skirmish, heavily outnumbered as she was, she couldn't let these bastards step into the territory any further. snarl ripping across her muzzle, she dove in an attack against the leader of the rogues, her jaws locking into his skull as she used her weight to throw them both, dispatching her enemy with a slight struggle with the nearest boulder. shit, she didn't want to kill him but it was quickly becoming a kill or be killed situation. blood dripping into her eyes from a shallow cut above her right eye, she snarled in pain, her limbs shaking with exhaustion. she'd been patrolling so often these days without allowing herself a break, the mercenary wanting to give her best to the group she stayed with. growling as her leg gave out, the direwolf was sent crashing to her chest as her wings folded, body begging for rest.
rolling as she caught the glimpse of a blade's light, she narrowly avoided a nasty head injury, willing her aching body to get back up, various nicks and cuts littering her body and sapping her strength as each motion caused the torn flesh to ache anew, her ichor staining the snow around the clearing as steam rose from her pelt, panting as she struggled to breathe in the cold environment. a strangled scream of agony ripped out of her as she was pinned, a wing caught awkwardly behind her back before she felt it snap, pushing at the rogue pinning her down with her fading strength. damnit, she could have taken them if she'd had enough rest. raising her voice in a last desperate howl, she screamed as fiery agony overtook her senses, jaws locking around her skull and cutting off her howl, blacking out as her eye was taken from her, the left orb leaving behind a dark cavity with a splitting migraine, the valkyrie collapsed and unconscious as the rogues fled the scene, knowing her call for help would bring someone else.
