[div style="width: 45%; text-align: justify; font-size: 12pt; letter-spacing: -1px; font-family: times new roman;"]♡ — Roan had not been within the Pitt's territory for an exceedingly long amount of time. However, the little over a week that he had spent within the group had been nice, getting to interact with those he had once thought were heartless just to find out that they really weren't. People like Aine, Silver, Kydobi, and Piers... they had all been kind to him for the brief period of time he had stayed within the desert, and for that he was grateful. Ultimately though, the Pitt was not his home. The Pittians here were surprisingly kind, and he was sure he could make friends of many of them with time, but he missed home. Spending a birthday without his friends and family had been bad enough, and he couldn't imagine what he would do if another one passed while he was wallowing in guilt. He couldn't imagine what his mother would do. Even if he had ended up hurting his mama... he could practically feel her sorrow from miles away, and he knew that she was yearning for him to come back. He didn't want her or anyone else showing up to the Pitt's border in a rage, thinking that they had taken him or anything. He'd feel horrible if he ended up causing his new friends trouble in some way.
So, the draconic apprentice packed up the one thing he had gotten while he was within the Pitt – a small alligator hair pin, from the marketplace. He thought she would like it, and perhaps it would serve to mend their relationship somewhat after what he had done. With that packed away in a little box, Roan bid farewell to Silver before he padded out of the hollow, opening his wings and shaking out his fluff. He couldn't really fly for long just yet, but he could fly at least part of the way, to make it go faster. Before he took off, however, he hesitated at the border. He didn't want to just disappear on the rest of them, especially not the ones that had been especially kind to him, like Aine and Piers. For them, he put his little gift down in the sand, turning and calling out, "Hello? Hello, is anybody nearby? It's Roan!" He allowed a couple of seconds to pass before he continued, shifting his paws nervously, "I'm not sure if anyone will really care, but... I'm gonna be going. I need to get back home, and I don't want to cause any of you any more trouble. I'm just telling you to... I dunno. Say goodbye? You've all been very kind to me, especially considering where my home is, so... thank you." He then waited to see if anyone would see him off, tail curling around jittering paws.
