Michael frowned when he heard Trevor's words, a conflicted look gleaming in his eyes. Shaking his head from side to side, the bobcat hissed softly as he sat there, "Come back home? Trev, I didn't know where you were. You could've been anywhere, I was gone for months. I couldn't just count on you still bein' at our last camp site..." He shakily shifted his paws beneath him, using them to slowly push himself upward, albeit slowly. It caused a jolt of pain to rush through him, but he ignored that, just gritting his teeth and moving forward, closer to Trevor. He didn't know what his intentions had been when he had begun moving, but he just let his legs carry him forward, over the porch where he could press his head into Trevor's chest, among the patchy fur. He mumbled as he sat there, shoulders slumped and face hidden, "I was barely alive when I pulled myself to the nearest group. There was no way I would've survived goin' all the way back to our old camp, especially if it turned out you weren't there."
