idyllfields
stars did fall
their plans were finally being pushed in motion. shelving them months before, idyll had decided at the time it was best to pace themselves lightly as they traveled. first, they had mismanaged their destination and landed in the typhoon. the journey, while not entirely perilous, was dreadful when they had a whirl winding fear of any body of water larger than their own. a month of a journey it had take was spent clinging to a bedpost and eating or drinking barely anything until they hit land. only days later did they once again set sail to complete the crew's initiation to complete their alliance to them.
that in itself had been... an experience. least to say, idyll needed a break from traveling by water. when they had become to feel around for any whereabouts for ships heading in the direction of crete, a merchant ship and contacted them with a contract attached. multiple answers to fill out about what they were bringing and how long they planned on staying in crete. if they were bringing any passengers with them or baggage.
it had been put away for a couple of weeks while they mulled it over. idyll had yet to tell the captain of what they were planning to do, unsure of how she would respond. it would only be... a quick trip. just to see and visit their father. catch up. maybe even return with him if it came to. idyll was very aware of their loyalty to the typhoon and the oath they had taken as a healer, but there was still slight uncertainty. would she request to wait until their war was over? or maybe even... maybe even not go at all, lest they be harmed?
idyll had taken it upon themselves to approach vandal's cluster of treehouses. still encased in vines and overgrowth for the most part, they kept themselves in the more sturdier side of what was left. they opened their satchel and carefully pulled out the contract, reading it over and over.
this was their chance to see their father. actually see him now as an adult and not as the child he visited once, twice a year. the coyote released a deep, dragging sigh and they pressed their forehead into their paws, head hurt in confusion.
