Wormwood thankfully didn't catch that the other hadn't meant that he wanted him, and had rather just meant that he wanted the necklace. If he had known Draekon wanted the necklace, then things would've gone extremely quickly. Wormwood would have given him the necklace and hopefully have gotten a chance to run back to Tanglewood. However, Draekon had already taken advantage of Worm's misunderstanding, and the lion blinked up in slight surprise at the large tiger before speaking, [glow=#793B29,1,400]"My name...? My name is Wormwood."[/glow] Worm glanced down for a moment in thought, his eyes still trained on the large tiger paw still pretty damn near to his throat at this point. This entire situation was pretty unnerving, but it didn't actually seem like Draekon was threatening him, at least not now. So, taking a deep breath, Worm looked back up to meet Draekon's gaze, mumbling softly, [glow=#793B29,1,400]"What... what's your name? It feels pretty silly to just think of you as "tiger".[/glow]

did he want to say his name? no, not really it hurt his throat to speak to much and this ‘wormwood’ was still a stranger. he should say something but there was no way he’d get out his name without his dry throat being torn apart by it.. he grunted softly, narrowing his eyes slightly. “no.” he stated, looking down at the necklace and letting out another soft chuff.

Wormwood blinked and frowned at the tiger's response, a bit disappointed that he didn't get to know what this new stranger's name was, especially since he had given his. Still, he felt a bit better when Draekon let out another soft chuff, and the lion slowly and clumsily reached up to undo the necklace from around his neck, holding it carefully in his jaws. He mumbled softly, his voice a little bit muffled by the silver in his mouth as he  spoke to the large tiger in front of him, [glow=#793B29,1,400]"My brother gave this to me, before we found out that he was going to be the leader of the pride. That's why it has a crown on it."[/glow] Somehow he doubted that Draekon really cared about the origins of the necklace, but he felt uncomfortable just being in a silent staring contest with a tiger who was so close to him.

the mention of a brother made his eye twitch. he used to have a brother- not anymore, of course. he was sure he had a biological brother somewhere back in india, but his circus brother had been.. annoying. however, he had made a nice meal. he had watched the other male’s disappointment in not getting his name, and he almost felt bad. he was being so kind, letting him get so close and look over his necklace. a noise halfway between a sigh and a growl left him. “drae-kon”

Wormwood frowned a bit when he noticed the eye twitch and the flash of unhappiness on Draekon's face but was glad when the other seemed to relax again. When Draekon spoke, Worm blinked in confusion for a moment, trying to decipher what he was saying, before he realized it was the other's name. Letting out a soft gasp, Worm's eyes seemed to light up in almost childlike excitement, and he said with a soft smile on his muzzle, still clutching his necklace, [glow=#793B29,1,400]"Draekon? Your name is Draekon? Oh, that's an interesting name. I like it. It's a lot different from me and Poet's."[/glow] His fear of Draekon that he had had since their encounter had begun was gradually fading into curiosity, since it didn't seem like he was going to he hurt.

he stared at him when a new male with brought into the conversation, his eyes narrowing ever so slightly before returning to their normal start. he let out a displeased grunt before dropping the little charm from his paw, and starting to look over the males mane. he rose a paw to his own head and ran it over the top of his head before starting to circle the other again trying to see more of the mane.

Worm noticed the way that Draekon seemed unhappy for a moment at him mentioning Poet, but he had no earthly idea why Draekon would se unhappy just hearing about Poet without even knowing him, but he seemed to shrug it off. Worm was then distracted by Draekon seeming to circle around him, slowly admiring his mane. The male made a soft noise as Draekon continued around him, and he questioned softly as he shook his head, fluffing out his mane, [glow=#793B29,1,400]"Draekon...? Have you never seen a lion before...? You seem really really interested in my mane. It's not that interesting..."[/glow] He felt his body heating up in slight embarrassment once again from being inspected, but he wasn't entirely sure why.

as soon as the mane was puffed out, the fur on the back of his neck stood on end, eyes widening a little. they did have a look at the circus, he remembered but he’d never actually seen it. they were always separated. he let out another chuff and tried to puff out the fur around his face, seeming a little frustrated that he couldn’t get a mane like the other’s. as he was questionedx he gave a grunt and shook his head.

Blinking in surprise at what Draekon was trying to do, Wormwood laughed softly and moved over to the tiger's side, slowly nuzzling his face forward against Draekon's neck to try and fluff his fur up like a mane. It didn't work very much, but the nuzzling was sort of nice, he supposed. The lion then rumbled softly, a little smile on his muzzle, [glow=#793B29,1,400]"I dont really think you can get a mane on your own, I'm afraid. But dont feel too bad, tons of other animals don't have big thick manes. Hell, Poet doesn't even have as much of a mane as me, and he's also a lion."[/glow]

another soft huff left him as his fur seemed to get so bigger, tail flicking every now and again. there was the name again, and he gave another soft growl. too much information to process all at once. he didn’t like that but he kept his cool. he chuffed softly, grabbing into some of his mane and seeming to try and physically take it- with no luck of course.
