a true mess of a creature, oil is dedicated to his studies and them alone. other beings are mere happenstance existences of limited value or importance to him in terms of social structure, though terribly invaluable when it comes to research. he has a selfish, perverted sense of ownership over anything and anyone he feels is crucial for his studies, and has an absolute lack of remorse for any heinous activities he commits. he is highly logical, obsessive, and cannot be disturbed or otherwise interfered with when he's in "the zone". the comfort or concern of others has little weight in his decision-making, which lends him to be a terrible physician for those who need true aid: a patient to him is simply a guinea pig.
