An interesting cast and group of people for sure. The last meet and greet he had been apart of had been in Tanglewood and frankly in that one all they talked about was booze and being edgy? Or something like that. Not really his type of game so it was good to get some relief from all that booze talk, or at least hopefully this meet and greet didn't become a booze and greet later down the line. Though so far it looked pretty good. He had heard the call when he was lying in his hammock, noticing the fire first that had yummy looking kebab, the cheetah was quick to jump down from his hammock and begin to join the gathering of people which had seemed to form quite fast. Marcellus lied down into the sand, sticking out his legs from underneath his body and watching the fire until Pincher spoke up, listening to him quietly. He couldn't help but feel a bit envious because damn, this guy had the full package didn't he? Mapmaker, ten different languages, born with actual blood of members from the Typhoon and also he was healthy and had all four usable legs. Ten points for the Captain. Marcel lied his head in his paws and looked over to the next one to speak, a child he had seen before. He saw this kid at his joining and faintly remembered her asking what fungi people were, the thought earning an inward chuckle from him.
He listened to her speak and once again could feel a tinge of envy. Well damn these people were just multi-talented and then there was him. Inwardly sighing, he tried to push the thoughts of self-loathing from his head and focus on his own strengths. What exactly were his own strengths? He could feel a small frown tug at the ends of his mouth as he asked himself that question. Damn that's depressing. Pushing the thoughts out, he focused back to see that Kian was talking. A prince? Well that sounded pretty cool. He couldn't imagine what it would be like to be treated like full on royalty. He only knew of the stereotypes, the bratty prince having a million responsibilities, servants bending their backs over just to serve the guy. This probably wasn't the case with Kian but the stereotypes were all Marcellus really knew about royalty like princes and princesses and whatnot.
Next up was Caesar, one of the guys he hadn't met yet. He looked over to him and listened to what he said. Another dimension? Okay being a prince was pretty cool but coming from another dimension sounded like this guy had one too many drinks. Was this guy blackout drunk? He couldn't help but not believe Caesar but what did he know? People in this world could have powers so someone coming from another dimension wasn't exactly impossible. Though he still couldn't help but think this guy was probably just plastered and spewing nonsense. Whatever. Next was Jacob which was the guy he saw running that blind date thing, so he was interested to see what he would say about himself. He listened to what the guy had to say, tail flicking. Cooking? That was probably a really cool talent. Marcel briefly stopped listening to get to his paws and walk closer to the fire, clasping his jaws around one of the tips of the kebab's and bringing it back to his seat where he began to bite into the fried fish and rip off a chunk, chewing it in his mouth and swallowing. The cheetah licked his lips and began to ate more as he listened to them.
Next was Rochelle who he had happened to see around the place. A pacifist huh? It wasn't not expected to see a pacifist so he wasn't that shocked. Personally, he wasn't going to be a pacifist, he had some rage and he needed to burn off that steam here and there. That and he was slowly starting to feel comfortable with this group and in the future would probably fight for them if needed. He was no good fighter, not without powers that he lacked, but he would do the best he could with what he had, maybe even find a weapon to help him out since he knew tooth and claw wasn't going to do much good, especially with his dead leg. Breaking out of his thoughts, his eyes landed next on Keona, yet another face he had yet to see around the place. A Striker huh? Wasn't that some sort of rank? He had yet to get used to the ranks around this place, though that would come with time and considering he was very bad with remembering even the simplest of names. Well. Lets just say that it would take him some time to memorize every rank and name in this place.
Marcellus took another bite out of his fried fish and looked over to Sunbeam who began to speak. We? But there was only one person sitting there. Though he wouldn't question it and instead would turn a blind eye. Anyways, astronomy was pretty cool. He wasn't big on things like constellations and trying to remember names was already a pain enough so trying to remember constellations was definitely out of the question for his compact mind. After that was Swashbuckler who talked like a pirate. A surprise to him considering not many talked like pirates here despite being pirates, which was fine but it was amusing to see someone talk like an actual pirate for a change. Ha he likes hunting booty. The immature joke nearly made him chuckle, the corners of his lips curling into a smile that was trying hard to hide back a laugh, the male forcing himself to take another bite of his fried fish to help hold back the laugh.
After the pirate dude was Papercutter who seemed to be a mercenary in a desert. He had faint remembering's of a desert, or a desert setting of sorts, but he didn't really know why. Well that was beside him. Either way, being a mercenary was a pretty cool thing as well and damn did it make him feel idiotic that everyone had all these cool things to share about themselves and he had jack shit. He forced his front paws to tuck under his chest neatly, lifting his head to look a bit taller. Finally the last person began to speak, the male twitching his ears as he swung his head to look over to Cronas. Someone who spoke in the third person, interesting. He had to admit he liked the beach as well. Even though the sand did get hot here and there, it was still nice to be able to soak up some sun.
With that being the end of that, it looks like it was his turn. Fun. He curled his tail up against his side and began, forcing any last bits of self doubt to leave his voice. "Hello, my name is Marcellus and uh, I guess one interesting fact about me is that I don't have a last name. Never did have one." Alright there goes one fact, now for another. "Another one is that I have a rare mutation called piebald. These white patches on my pelt-" the cheetah motioned to the patches on his pelt with his head, "aren't normal. Don't know how I got them." He shrugged and licked his lips, taking a small bite from his fried fish and then continuing. "For the last one, my zodiac sign is cancer." Hey, he actually managed to find something interesting about himself.
