it had been quite a while since he and rosemont had left their old home. on the move every day, never staying in one place for too long. this new land... this place was like a different world. so much had happened, he didn't know what was going on anymore, didn't know who or what to believe. but... that didn't matter. they had each other. that's all that mattered.

the forest they'd been traveling through had gotten considerably darker and... wetter some time ago. it was an unpleasant feeling beneath his feet, squelching through the mud, feeling as if he was going to sink right in. it was hot, muggy, and uncomfortable; the place was almost certainly teeming with unknown predators, just waiting to jump out and snatch up the feline. aristotle frowned unsurely as they moved forward and pressed closer to rosemont. "this place looks... uh, pleasant." he said quietly, glancing up at the lanky wolf. scent markers were faint in the air, muffled by the stench of the swamp. eventually they slowed to a stop, pausing before a particularly thick bramble thicket. ari shifted slightly and glanced to either side of them. "should we keep going?" the tom murmured uncertainly and cast his gaze back up to his companion, pressing against his leg.

Open spaces were what he preferred, but it was a decision he and Aristotle had made together, so he would stick through it. For him, it was difficult to wade through the mud, as when it got between his mechanical toes, it messed with the circuitry there, rendering it a bit arduous to move. Still, Rosemont pushed on, walking alongside his companion with a bit of a skip to his step. He was glad to be with him, even if it meant leaving their home behind.

He figured now wouldn't be the best time to smoke, as they were entering unknown territory riddled with trees. Rosemont didn't want to accidentally start a fire as he once had, and therefore, his lips felt bare. He lapped at them with his tongue as the duo drew to a halt near the scent line and thick brambles, clearly defining a border. Aristotle's voice caused him to look down at the smaller male, a crooked grin rising to his lips. "Nah. I think we should wait 'ere," Rosemont told him with a shrug of his shoulders, giving a flick of his mechanical paw soon after to rid it of the mud. "People'll be along, I think," the lanky wolf then continued, lifting his head so that he could peer out beyond the bramble, amber optics bright against his dark fur.

    Before he could even pick up on their names, Beck decided he would be able to tolerate the two males, simply because of their shared ability to respect another creature's land -- or creatures, in this case. Hastily finishing the knot to secure a snare to an oak's low-hanging limb, the scrawny feline climbed off his perch with a graceless landing to advance towards the strange scents not too far off.

    Passing through the bramble as if the barricade never existed in the first place, he watched the duo for a nonexistent heartbeat before stepping out into view. The poltergeist gave a quick shake of his grimy pelt, scattering accumulated mud and thorns despite a majority remaining ensnared in his matted fur, and quickly skimmed over the pair with a luminous glare akin to two dying lanterns. They were close, based on how the smaller of the two pressed himself up against the wolf's leg, and said wolf had a prosthetic: a feature his nearsighted eye couldn't help but be drawn to out of curiosity. Beck opened his scarred mouth to mention it, until territorial instinct override childish nature and he instead snarled with razor-sharp teeth bared, "Just what exactly are ya waitin' for?" He had only listened to snippets of their conversation, too focused on setting up his trap to eavesdrop on the rest. Pausing to lick away the toxic chemicals leaking over the burnt remnants of his left cheek, Beck stretched out his neck to warily sniff at the other feline, searching for any identifying scents or traces of other clans.

IVAN ZIMAVICH BRAGINSKY ✧ russian bear dog — proxy — tags[/color]

His beastly brain noted that they looked like him and maybe they could be friends.... but Zimavich growled territorially. He rose out of the swamp water, mask and fur dripping wet and the overpowering stench of dirty dog. The bear dog was around three feet tall, and climbed out of the water, growling roughly and baring yellow teeth.

[size=9pt]coming up after zimavich was malphas, baring his teeth towards the newcomers, revealing bloody fangs. he hated newcomers. narrowing his eyes in suspicion, he glanced at beck - holy shit, beck was actually here for once. was this the first time malphas stood equal with beck? he was kind of underwhelming. flicking his red eyes back to the two, he asked "hey fags, this isn't a fuckin honeymoon spot," he growled, shifting his weight.

Fenris had to hold back a roll of the eyes at Malphas - yes brilliant job, insult potential joiners, that always worked so well - as it was the regent and resident giant simply stepped over and inclined his head "don't mind him, we're used to it" as if to answer the likely unspoken question of what exactly Malphas' problem was - he was just simply always as such.

"my name is aristotle." he said plainly. rose was capable of introducing himself, but he would at least let them know they were friendlies. ari glanced briefly at fenris, appreciating that at least one of them seemed nice. "we fags would like to join your lovely establishment." he looked pointedly at the other feline while he spoke, then between the other three expectantly.
