If she had ever had a remarkable childhood, it was forgotten. She recalled pieces of it, each detail feeling more and more as though it had happened to someone else, like she was hanging onto a life that wasn't hers. Now all life is mine, if I want it. And Georgie wanted it. Wanted it more than air (not like she had to breathe, anyway), wanted it more than anything. Such was the way of a parasite, after all.
The leopard body had been forgotten for now. She was beautiful, but she was...wasn't, as fun as this new sweet thing. The body was a small one, smaller than she was normally comfortable with. Prey, but maybe she could have some fun with that. It was young, too. Another shot at childhood, she mused, waddling along in her small possum body. The heart beat so quickly, even when at rest.
Georgie stopped to choke back a sniffle that was entirely fake, lingering around the bay looking utterly miserable. Wasn't this what these sorts of animals did? Be sad? At any rate, the sort of fun she could have in this young body was the type that hinged on her ability to look absolutely and positively forlorn, so that's what she did, snuffling in the leaves uselessly.
