the woman was bored out of her mind. thus, she moved along on steady paws. trotting along to find a place to relax. it wasn't long before she was gliding over the water to a large chunk of coral near the shore. it was above water despite high tide and perfect for her to relax on.

so, the liger settled in and tucked her wings. letting out a large yawn as water misted her. it was perfect. she loved this territory. she truly loved the way she could warm herself and stay cool in one motion.

mel would not be alone for long, the local siren surfacing from the waters with a puff of water from his gills, the wolf bodied creature spying the liger upon the coral and grinning. clearing his throat, "here i was, wondering what was gliding over the water. turns out to be a fellow crewmate.", he would chuckle as he offered a nod to her, paddling closer to shore with a rumble deep in his chest. leaning his body against the coral reef, he would focus on catching his breath, having been fishing. unsuccessful, more enjoying of his time in the sea and the peace away from the populace.

inhaling and sighing, shaking his head to free it of water with a snort, "the fish are not close to shore or the water's surface. must be a shark or whale somewhere close.", he mused, looking out over the sea surrounding them.

"Ancient Dreams in a Modern Land" ♆ tags ── The sea seemed to be a common gathering place for the crewmates of The Typhoon. Scyllios knew that was obvious, since the entire group was surrounded by water and lived and died by the waves, it seemed. Vis pearly eyes stared from under the depths, watching Vinicius and Melpomene silently. They looked around, then slowly made their way to the top, using their tail for the propulsion while their limbs stayed close to their body. As if they were trying to look like some sea serpent.

Only the fins on their neck and back surfaced, and they slowly moved toward the two, ears flattened back to avoid detection.

The light has been gone -

the arrival of the siren made her eyes flick over. a small smile pulling the cornrs of her maw. the puff of water turning to sea mist like the mist from the very waves licking at her belly fur. it was rather impressive, the way he moved in the waves so freely. her wings stopped her from swimming like a fish. was she jealous of his skill?

perhaps she was. ah, well, i can't swim as beautifully as you do. she mused as he would lean upon her little coral resting place. so, i have to make due. she would reply with an amused chuff. she would let her eyes flick out to the water with a frown.

what was that?

it was at this point she noticed something. she would spot some odd spikes. maybe you are right about something being out there. she motioned towards the spikes with a tilt of her head. she was not to sure if she was seeing things or not.
