Given that the observatory was largely constructed of metal, she doubted the structure could actually catch fire and burn down, but the grass on the fields was flammable, and there were probably other fire hazards scattered throughout the camp and territory. There was no harm in learning what to do in such a situation.
As she approached, Rin eyed the fire cautiously. The flame was small, and Bast and several others were watching it, but it could easily spread if they looked away for too long. As for the best method of survival... well, the fire produced smoke (which could be dangerous if inhaled), and smoke rose into the air by nature, so lying low would logically allow one to steer clear of it. "Put as much distance between yourself and the fire as possible, then get down to avoid the smoke," she suggested, tugging at her scarf.
