The fact that Romulus was interested in the sight before him was no surprise, but how Anthemtalon responded was... Well... That wasn't the answer he expected. Head turning towards Inferno as she giggled, the kingpin's dark brows pressed together and he let out a sigh. He couldn't argue with the large lizard's preferences. As long as he didn't touch the variety of Coalitioners underneath, the newer member could enjoy all of the scraps he desired. "Then perhaps enjoy the enemies, not our own," the lion suggested bluntly.
He didn't know Anthemtalon couldn't distinguish between the two though. Even so, an offer on the table didn't hurt. His tone was lowly as the kingpin spoke. "I can bring you their remains before they're discarded in the future." After all, everyone had their own perks and niche in the Coalition of the Condemned's territory. A pile of bodies wasn't really out of the ordinary, especially in the eastern island. That did not curb his disgust though.
With the offer on the table, his eyes drifted down to the meat being offered to him. For a moment, he contemplated his options. If it wasn't for the rot and the saliva lingering on the piece Anthemtalon pulled apart, then maybe he would try. Desecrating the bodies of those he knew and lead felt... wrong. "Perhaps a different time under different circumstances," came his polite answer. A simple 'fuck no' would have sufficed too, but he did not hold his parents' temper and vivacious, colorful language.
His light gaze moved on from Anthemtalon, landing on Aubree as she filled their graves and murmured apologies to those that were now ingested. Romulus had planned to something similar. She seemed urgently bothered though. As he watched her work, her fiery glare caught his attention. Trying to lighten the mood, he cleared his throat and spoke out to her. "Thank you," he clearly remarked. Less work for him. If she needed assistance though, he would gladly do so and let her vent her frustrations.
