Blankets would be useful to those able to generate their own body heat. It would trap the warmth that escaped from endotherms, and slowly and steadily keep the body temperature from dipping too low. Anthemtalon, of course, had to rely on the sun and surroundings in order to keep warm. A gift, though? The lizard would and could not allow such an opportunity to pass. If anything, it nestled an idea in his simplistic mind for later.

The bonfire was so nice and warm that it took Anthemtalon a few moments to remember the call that had brought him over. "Big ones? Any?" Would be the lazy lizard's question, a talon raised to gently nudge one of the closer pelts.
