Observing the growth of the dragonets still was...an interesting task. Specifically for Lethe, as even though Angel had never actually seen the stages of dragon growth, he sort of had the basic idea how it would go step by step. However, Lethe was an enigma, having been born more like a slug and severely lacking very dragon like components, eastern or western. Now that he had seen her father, however, it made way too much sense, and to an extent he had expected she would look mostly like him for the rest of her slimy existence. However, he was to be proved wrong, as Lethe finally did, in a way, "earn her wings". Physically that was, she was not going to be flying any time soon, and he thought he would break out into a sweat just imagining a scenario where he had to watch her at least once an hour, every hour, so she didn't try to just jump off a cliff to test them.

And, to his dismay, he had grown just a tad fond of the clutch, and the sluggy dragon. God damn it.

"Did those grow overnight?" Angelembrace asked with a hint of amusement at the attempted head bump, tapping his chin with a paw inquisitively at the new wings. They did indeed look soft, in the manner a baby bird's new downy feathers looked soft, and once again, not meant for flying. Perhaps baby bird was a good comparison to use, given they were....feathered. "Easy with the moving around, Oleander, or you'll be stuck with Byriath." A small smile appeared, proof that he was just joking....mostly.
your little hands of paradise, give them here and hang on tight
