A Typhooner. That was what Arvid saw, first and foremost, when he looked at Lutum. Sure, he could put together the pieces and see that Lute was the father of Aphra's hatchlings – although that wasn't a particularly hard puzzle, considering how slimy he was. And the thane was grateful that Oleander had been returned safely, and yet... Lutum was still an enemy. A member of a group that was supposed to be despised by them all, and yet here he was, all goofy smiles and chit-chat. The canine considered leaving well enough alone, and ultimately that was what he decided to do. As he approached, he sat down nearby and hesitated, multicolored gaze narrowed before he spoke up, "...Thank you for returning Oleander. We were all very worried about her." Well... most of them, anyways. He was fairly sure Aphra wouldn't be worried about Oleander unless she suddenly became the most incredible piece of jewelry in the damn universe.
Even though Arvid had decided not to stir shit, he couldn't resist that primal urge in the back of his head to be a little bit snarky. Just enough to remind Lutum that he was on enemy territory. So, without a second thought, the dire wolf pushed a few of his usual herbs forward, the male having taken to carrying a small pouch around with him in case he needed some poison on the fly. As he pushed the obviously poisonous plants forward, he questioned in a mocking tone, "As thanks, would you like to try some of the Coalition's local flora?" To pretty much anyone else, it would be obvious that Arvid was making a teasing threat. Lutum wasn't everyone else, however. It was probably a good thing that the plant the thane pushed forward wasn't strong enough to kill, just disorient and knock out.
