A fight pit? Interesting. Much like Arvid, Angel had been drawn out of his own peace by the noise coming from the hole that Maude had dug out, taking his place on the other side of the canine. Pale yellow eyes locked on the combatants, narrowed pupils at the mention of the Typhoon yet again, but...there was potential in that. Did Arvid realize that, having been the one to originally disgrace their presence with the scent of the sea? He cast a sideways glance to check, but found no such realization, and returned his eyes to the pit. A truly pathetic picture was being painted, with Mazepaw's less than optimal state making his fate almost sealed, a way that was so unbalanced seemingly that even Angel thought it was nearly unfair, and he had long since abandoned his concept of fair fighting. He had every right to, fighting for his own right to live against himself the moment he was born.
The jaguar laid down where he sat, crossing his front paws over each other as if he was watching something far less gruesome. Wounds would surely be sustained, and while he had a feeling that Maude would not let him touch the fallen, perhaps he could make an attempt to practice his skills at life rather than death should he ask politely, and ensure he had no ill intentions in mind. A potential champion meeting an early grave was surely not in her best interests, no? His tail curled upward, almost like a snake, tapping one of his front paws against the ground. "Didn't you just bring in a subject from the Typhoon, Arvid? Maybe they're more useful to us than I thought after all." Angel mused, darkly considering paying a visit to the scientist's test subjects, wondering if any of them would make it to the pit.
