Considering Gordon didn't like going outside of the Tribe's camp without someone familiar with her, it had been quite easy to notice Kainan's disappearance. Though she assumed that he was sick and recovering in his own den and didn't really want to bother him and as such, never went to check up on him. Besides, even if he was sick, there wasn't much Gordon could do for him other than alert Vanya.
Speaking of Vanya, he called out for the Tribe to gather around him and Gordon was suddenly aware of the worst. The thought that immediately sparked within her head was that Kainan was dead and that Vanya either discovered his body or killed him. But no, no... surely Vanya wouldn't do anything like that? Gordon listened to Vanya's words, her worries slightly lessening when he announced that there was a strange scent on the border, meaning it was likely someone had taken them.
"If-if he's been taken," Gordon squeaked out, her voice trembling. Fuck, she hated it. "Sh-shouldn't we be more, um, vig-vigilant? I-I mean, we shouldn't, like, g-go out looking for th-the group, I-I wouldn't think..." She got quiet, aware of how terrified and pathetic she sounded.
