The implication that she wasn't a caring individual was, ironically, insulting. Aphra believed that she cared for a lot of people, Angelembrace included. She just had a rather... 'interesting' way of showing it. And by that of course, that meant she was pushing others away and putting them down.
"What, and Jormungand is any more than a glorified sperm donor?" Aphra shot back, though she went quiet for a moment after her response. Did Angel even know what that would mean? Ah, well, if not, she was not going to explain that. The kid could find out on his own. "I haven't said a damn thing about you, meanwhile you have been spewing shit to our clanmates about things that aren't true." Well that was a lie, but of course Aphra didn't realize it.
