He didn't understand why at the time, given that it was messy and crowded and seemed last minute - even at his young age he could tell what was sloppy work to be done quickly and sloppy work that was just to be sloppy - but he hadn't questioned it. He didn't think that questioning his new living conditions was a good thing to do considering he had been welcomed in to the Coalition, and he didn't want for his new friends to dislike him due to the questions he had thought of, so simply kept his mouth shut.
Come to find out that wasn't their normal home, and almost no one liked where they were currently living. When Ruven found out about that he almost let a sigh of relief leave him. Hearing the call from Aphra about cleaning up the old camp, the child had thought about not coming over to help. He was small and wasn't that much help in the long run with things considering his age, but eventually he thought better of it and decided to come over, ears pricked as he looked around at those around him. So far he knew everyone there and he liked that a lot, especially when he saw that Sojourn was coming along to help the while feline clean the former camp.
Quickly taking step behind his mother, the lion cub would wrinkle his nose for a moment when he saw what the camp actually looked like, covered in dried mud and grime. He didn't know things had gotten shifted - hadn't been there before - but he could tell things were, well, off, given that so many things were so close together. Looking between Rho and Aphra for a moment the child would finally speak up, "What do you want me to do?" He wanted to be helpful, just wasn't sure how.
