He couldn't remember his parents. His family, his siblings. They were all so far gone in his memory that he couldn't bear to draw them forward- some traumatic memory blocking his early childhood from him. So he had built himself an empire of friends. He had promised himself to do better for anything and anyone that came in front of him- and perhaps that's why he had took the responsibility of leading this group.
A soft sigh exited his mouth as he stepped across the rocklands, but the sounds of some squeaking and the faint scent of Aes mixed with someone unfamiliar caused him to twitch his ears. Arlo looked towards them, approaching with slow pawsteps. "What's going on, Aesior?" He questioned softly, knowing the male couldn't respond in word, but upon seeing what was hiding in the bushes, Arlo's fur was quite ruffled.
Well, he couldn't quite see it, persay, but he understood what it was. A child. Arlo cleared his throat gently, lowering his head down. While his horns and red eyes might appear scary to any other kid, he hoped he made up for it in word. "We won't eat you. Why don't you come out n' we can find you something to eat? My name's Arlo, and this is Aesior. He can't speak, but he's not going to hurt you."
