TRIGGER WARNING: brief mention of drowning towards the end of the first paragraph
It was funny how often Atbash ended up by the beach, considering her unease around the ocean. Granted, the waves in themselves were soothing to her - the sound of them, at least - but she wouldn't dare go into it. It reminded her of how Caesar had gripped her head underwater and -
Stop that. Atbash forced herself to halt the thought process while she could still control it, biting down on her tongue as she walked along. In the distance, she could see the outline of someone and, after making sure there was someone there and she wasn't imagining things (kind of like a phantom image, given her missing eye), the savannah made her way over. "Hey Ana, how're you settling in?" The week Ana joined had been... eventful to say the least and the poor girl hadn't seemed to take Aurum's death very well intially.
Atbash allowed her gaze to travel to the sand where Ana was making carving into, blinking for a moment. "Who're you drawing?" She asked innocently, not having met Ares prior unfortunately. Or, she hadn't really gotten to know Ares that well to be able to recognize her from a little drawing.
