There's very little left of me - Drawing - SirDio - 03-14-2021 To say that Ana was drawing was an overstatement. It was hard for her to even hold things, considering she only had one front paw. With a stick she walked to the beach where the beach party had been held, though she didn't step to the ocean itself. The whole throat closing up thing really fucked with her. Against the sand she dragged the stick, creating a rudimentary image of someone who was familiar if one had been in tanglewood for a few months - a cat with ram horns and wings, small lines indicating where markings were on this cat. It was, though the drawing itself was pretty bad, a portrait of Ares, though no name was written, people like Sophiea and Elsweyr would most likely recognize the drawing. "Hope you're still alive, Ares..." She whispered, voice drowned out by the waves. TRIGGER WARNING: brief mention of drowning towards the end of the first paragraph It was funny how often Atbash ended up by the beach, considering her unease around the ocean. Granted, the waves in themselves were soothing to her - the sound of them, at least - but she wouldn't dare go into it. It reminded her of how Caesar had gripped her head underwater and - Stop that. Atbash forced herself to halt the thought process while she could still control it, biting down on her tongue as she walked along. In the distance, she could see the outline of someone and, after making sure there was someone there and she wasn't imagining things (kind of like a phantom image, given her missing eye), the savannah made her way over. "Hey Ana, how're you settling in?" The week Ana joined had been... eventful to say the least and the poor girl hadn't seemed to take Aurum's death very well intially. Atbash allowed her gaze to travel to the sand where Ana was making carving into, blinking for a moment. "Who're you drawing?" She asked innocently, not having met Ares prior unfortunately. Or, she hadn't really gotten to know Ares that well to be able to recognize her from a little drawing. female | shaderunner [shp] of tanglewood © madi
Re: There's very little left of me - Drawing - SirDio - 03-17-2021 The small girl blinked, turning to look at Atbash as the shaderunner spoke. "Oh - I guess I'm settling alright..." The nightmares and seeing dead bodies didn't need to be mentioned - Atbash already knew about Aurum and Siborno and how Ana reacted. Turning back to the drawing, she seemed to lighten up. "My sister - Her name is Ares. Mom said I have good memory, she can't remember what Ares looks like sometimes... I think she's just old and mean." Truly, the Thervos siblings had extremely good memory, Ana hadn't seen Ares in months, she'd only been a month old when their lives fell apart and they were wrongly separated. Atbash certainly didn't need to be reminded of what happened that day, especially considering how she ended up hallucinating at the end of the vision Aurum had seemingly sent out. The incident had caused her nose to bleed, though she chocked it up to it being a side-effect of meeting with angels. Then again, Aurum had been an angel, so what was the difference there...? No reason to linger on that day though, not when Ana didn't even bring it up. "That could be a reason." She replied in a soft tone. "Do you know where Ares is? Is she around any of the groups here?" female | shaderunner [shp] of tanglewood © madi
Re: There's very little left of me - Drawing - rhosmari - 03-17-2021 Things slowly seemed to be getting back to normalcy. But there was still a large gap to fill and one she was certain would never be filled. They would miss the two of them gravely she was sure. But they needed to move on and continue with their lives. As she stepped forth she was curious of what was happening here. Something about drawings? She had never tried drawing herself, never really had the time and so she was curious of the activity. With a warm smile upon her muzzle the flaming lioness laid her crystalline blue eyes upon the artwork and her head tilted to the side a bit. It reminded her of someone. Someone that was very important to her life. She swallowed thickly and sighed, remembering the troubling times that had happened that had drove her daughter away. She was and would always have a disagreeance with how that situation was handled. "Ares. This is her daughter. She hasn't visited her in some time. This one did not know that she was related to her. Perhaps we should go and see her in Palm Glades." The last time she had gone there she had still been wounded. Arrow had escorted her and she breathed in shortly before sitting down and curling her tail around. The artwork to her was stunning as she looked at it closely. Gently waving her tail lightly at Atbash in greeting. |
