Ah, so it didn't seem as though the other was interested in more training. That was good, but the rest of the news that he had brought with him wasn't. The soothsayer's expression darkened temporarily, a small frown pulling at his muzzle. Although he had never really known Rhinestonestar well, it was never all that good to have a leader just disappear. In the back of his mind, the siamese found himself wondering if the Coalition had been involved somehow. After all, the enemy group had been infamously furious with the Glades following their betrayal. Rhine in particular had seemed to have a massive target on her head, considering she was the one who had given the battle orders. However, Roan wouldn't voice these thoughts, at least for now. Win hadn't mentioned there being any sign of the Coalition's presence. And if there had been, the draconic feline was sure that Winterhymns would want to warn them about any potential danger.
Realizing that he had been silent for quite a while, Roan blinked his bright blue gaze before dipping his head in Win's direction. His words were soft as he spoke up, mind wandering to his own pair of apprentices – one of whom was standing right nearby, "Ah... that's good to hear, then. Just make sure that you don't burn yourself out trying to juggle your new duties as a leader and as a teacher of medicine. Don't be afraid to take breaks... that was something I needed to learn." He averted his gaze temporarily, his thoughts drifting back for a moment. While the soothsayer did still occasionally struggle with feeling stressed and overwhelmed with his medical job, it wasn't nearly to the extent that it had been before. That was mainly due to the help of his friends and family, particularly his mama, and Goldie. He hoped that Winterhymns had a similar support system, so that he wouldn't throw himself into his work too deeply. Even the strongest among them could break under the pressure of too much, and Roan didn't want that to happen to Win, considering he seemed like a good person. It was the same worry that the medic held for his mama, ever since she had stepped up to Goldie's old position.
Once again, though, his attention was drifting. Best not to get caught up in his own anxieties when there was still an ally to worry about standing in front of them. Briefly shaking his head from side to side, the siamese added, "Like Goldie said... I wish you luck in leading your group, for however long you may have to. I know that leadership can be a lot of responsibility but... you seem like you're a good person. I'm sure the Glades is lucky to have you." He wasn't usually so kind to someone who was virtually a stranger, but... Winterhymns seemed like a reasonable man. He also seemed like a good one, and that was really enough for Roan when it came to those he didn't see all that often. Perhaps his opinion would change if he was around Win all the time, but he doubted that would happen anytime soon. Not unless something drastic happened, that ended up pushing one group onto the other's territory for shelter and safety. Needless to say, he hoped that nothing like that would happen anytime soon.
At the mention of the other needing anything from Goldie, the soothsayer let out a brief snort before nodding. Pulling his satchel closer to himself, saying to Winterhymns as he tilted his head to one side, "If you'd like some traveling herbs before you head back to your own territory, I can provide you with some. We've got plenty now that the weather has started to change." For once, Roan wasn't lying in order to spare the other's feelings. The coming of Spring had indeed started to kickstart herb growth again. He was sure that soon his herb garden would be overflowing again – something he was very much looking forward to. After all, he never liked having his stores be low.
