Scrambling paws. Desperate breaths. The tiny wildcat felt her ears perk. Confusion flashing in pale sea-green hues. She moves quietly and easily beneath the tables, keeping gentle distance with the frightened stranger. No doubt frightened by the weather. She understood.
It grew loud in her room, above in the Sky Parlor. Too loud sometimes. The thunder cracking and rain thumping on the roof. Her senstive ears rung in pain. Even compared to the chorus of idle chatter below, it could overwhelm her.
"Aloha," she murmured softly. "Are you okay?" Gentle. Indifferent of the harsh intrusion. Simply curious for now, since the wolf pup was unfamiliar to her. And frightened. No need to badger him about impoliteness.
