Water has a pull for her. To her earliest moments, even before the Typhoon. The sway of waves against a ship afloat. The humidity in the air. The salt. She has always been connected to the ocean.
While it took her time to discover that her connection went deeper than a feeling of belonging, Keona knew it came as no surprise. Not when her father too, was so deeply connected to the water. Well known among his homeland for his power to manipulate his favorite element. The Tempest Prince.
It kept her connected to him too. Kept her steady. Gave her a grounding point. She often came back to the shore, when she needed a respite. Peace. Her thoughts were often busy. She kept herself busy now. Stubborn, for there was work to be done. For she didn't want it to all fall on the others, when they had close family and friends to care for.
Her paws only stopped when the water finally brushed her fur. Never too deep to be swept away. But close. Connected. She felt it when the water moved away. Felt the sudden change and tilted her head. Pale sea-green hues lit in curiosity. Led to Brandyskies.
"Aloha," she murmured. Simple greeting, with little else to say. Content to simply be at peace by the water. Her tail twitched idly as she pulled a wave slightly closer to her paws, then back in gentle release. Push. Pull. Steady rhythm. A heartbeat.
