DEAR FRIEND as you know, your flowers are withering
your mother's gone insane, your leaves have drifted away.
but the clouds are clearing up
and i've come reveling, burning incandescently,
like a bastard on the burning sea.

Thankfully, it would seem the female wouldn't need to wait very long for the other to indeed arrive. Her head turns towards the other, paws tapping the bottom of the seat quietly, in an almost excited manner. A smile forms on her features, the same goofy one she'd hold whenever she saw the other.
Even if her memories had not been gone, Goldie wouldn't be too sure how a birthday party was actually supposed to work. The female may have been in charge of throwing events in the past, but she'd never thrown a proper party for herself on her birthday - the closest would have been this previous one, in Tanglewood, recovering from her time in the bunker. However, she didn't remember it anyways, and the best the former captain could do now is simply ask others what the standard procedure is to get an idea. She wasn't sure Sophiea would be much into party hats, big invitations, or the like, especially since a majority of her friends and family were still over in Tanglewood, so instead she settled for simply spending the time with her, and getting her a nice present (which she'd had probably done regardless, but this was still a good excuse).
"Did you have a nice birthday, Sophie?" she asked lightly in a curious tone, tail twitching. She'd hope the answer would be yes, but if it wasn't, then Goldie could at least offer a nice time after the fact. She was curious what it was like over in Tanglewood, sort of wishing she could have gone to see it herself, maybe celebrate with the rest of Sophiea's family and friends, since she knew the majority would be over there, considering that was her original group. But, she could hardly manage a quick walk without getting nervous, so she couldn't even imagine what moving between Tanglewood and the Typhoon would be like at the moment. Hopefully soon, again, she could see what their swamp was all about once more. In the meantime, she was happy she could spend the time she did with her friend.
Gently her head would bop a little back and forth, side to side, a silent dance to herself as she watches the other. Her ears twitch at her words, letting the other speak in full before preparing in responses from herself. "Don' worry, sometimes it's just nice t' sit in silence, too, enjoyin' each other's company. N' if you wanna do that, we can. Or I can go, if you'd rather, I don' mind." The female reassures with a nod, her posture shifting as she leans further in her seat. She would rather not leave, but considering this was technically Sophiea's home, the female wasn't about to force the other to stay with her if she wasn't in the mood.
Goldie gives a small giggle towards the cups of apple juice. "I wasn' sure how t' make tea, n' I didn' wanna accidentally make a mess if I screwed up, so I thought...what's the next best thing? N' that was apple juice, o' course." She explains, her smile turning almost a little embarrassed for a moment. But, it was only for a moment, and she thought her conclusion worked well enough for its purpose. And, at least Sophiea seemed to take it well enough.
With that, the female would get up from her seat, walking over next to Sophiea's own. Her eyes are locked on the tea set itself currently, going over that this was her proper gift. "Oh, n' is' not borrowed - I got it for you, if you'd like t' keep it. I dunno what your old set was like, but I was hopin' this one would be just as nice." She then would bring up a paw to the cup to gesture towards its design. "I was lookin' 'round for a nice set for you, saw this one, n' thought it would fit you. The flowers made me think o' you, n' the gold...it's kinda like me!" Her paw gently traces the painted flowers until it reached the bottom golden rim of the cup. She then puts her paw back on the ground, looking back towards Sophiea with a warm smile.

NOTHING'S EVER LOST FOREVER, IT'S JUST HIDING IN THE RECESS OF YOUR MIND AND WHEN YOU NEED IT, IT WILL COME TO YOU AT NIGHT. I MISS THE YELLOW. I MISS THE YELLING AND THE SHAKEDOWN. I'M NOT COMPLAINING, NO, I GOT A BETTER SET OF KNIVES NOW. I MISS MY DRUMMER, MY DEAD STEPBROTHER, AND THE PIT CROWD. AND CHUCK AND MATTY - IF THEY COULD SEE ME THEY'D BE SO PROUD.
