Ah, what a miserable little place to find himself in. A swamp. Truly, Louis Altair couldn't think of a worse place to trudge his way through. Seriously, how could anyone live comfortably here when they had to walk around in this sludge? In a way, the awfulness of this situation was almost... charming. Somehow. It was a good thing his legs were like tall stilts, keeping the rest of his body clean and out of the slushy mud for the most part.

So if he found this place so terribly unpleasant, why was he here? Well, Louis was on a quest of sorts, he supposed. Although it had been quite some time since he last saw his friends, he had hope that they were on this island somewhere... they had to be. Before a blizzard had come in to ruin everything, the four had been inseparable, wandering the land, singing together and having adventures. Then, within hours, he had lost it all. If only Lou hadn't gotten lost while scavenging then maybe... maybe they would still be together.

Shaking his head furiously as tears brimmed at the edges of his sea green eyes, he decided he needed some sort of distraction while he made his way towards the group known as Tanglewood. Taking in a breath, the maned wolf would do the one of the few things he believed he was good at- singing. "Et tous ces mots sales." The beast would trill in french as he walked along. "Qui remuent et qui sont mal. En buvant nous trinquons..." He paused to glance up at the trees, taking another breath. "Des paroles sans intention..."

Just as he was about to belt out another several lines, there was movement in the corner of his eye and the male would stop dead in his tracks. Eyes narrowing, Lou's maw would part as he made to speak. "Qui est là?" He would ask first in french before realizing what he had done, repeating what he had said in english. "Who's there?"
